Impeccable presentation, delicious food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend the paella. Tastes like a slice of Spain.

We stumbled upon this place and what a treasure! The menu was a mix of tapas and family style portions, which makes this a great spot for larger groups, though the ambiance can definitely lean into a great date night spot as well. Brandi, our server, was on-top of anything we needed and was very friendly! A few of the menu items that really stick out & would highly recommend: their calamari, paella, spinach salad, and of course dessert! The beignets with pecan ice cream...?

My wife and I received a cordial genuine welcome by Barcelona’s Bistro Bar wait staff! The food was delicious and came out quickly. We enjoyed the atmosphere and coziness of the dining area! We’ll be back!

The helpful waitresses were very patient and knowledgeable regarding the menu. In our party of four, one a vegetarian and another one on a gluten-free diet.

Great place to eat. So many wonderful Spanish dishes. We had the chicken and cheese empanadas and the yellowfin tuna. The empanada filling was delicious and there was a thin crust, with the edges a little crisp. They were perfect. Came with greens drizzled with oil, which we also enjoyed. The tuna had a mango and tomato salsa and sat on top of garlic mashed potatoes. The tuna and salsa went well together and was cooked perfectly. The potatoes were amazing with a good amount of garlic! We finished with the Catalan Creme. It wasn't overly sweet and had a great citrus cinnamon combination. Service was great. The server was warm and friendly. You could tell she liked working there. Got to meet the chef, who was also friendly and warm, and loved what she does. Need to go back for the other dishes we saw served.

Best tapas I've ever had in any location. We went here just before a Louisville Orchestra performance. The program comprised of three pieces by Latin composers. This dinner set the right theme. Everything we ordered was prepared to perfection. The service was superb and attentive. Even though it's a two hour drive, we will be back soon and bring friends.

What an amazing Gem for Louisville. The food is absolutely amazing and the owner definitely puts her heart and soul into the food. She does all of the cooking herself and she told us that’s why she’s only open 4 days a week! We will definitely be back!!

This is THE ABSOLUTE BEST KEEP SECRET, not just in Jtown, but in Louisville. EVERYTHING IS AWESOME and fresh. We waited almost an hour to be seated but it's so so so worth it. The ribs, the crepes, the Paella, the soup, the fresh wine and sangria. I'm so glad we came. So good that I almost didn't want to do a review because I don't want to share how awesome this place was.

Great drinks and great food. Our waitress was amazing. The atmosphere was very warm and looked clean. We had the eggplant parmigiana. It was absolutely delicious.Edit: Came back and tried the Paella and charcuterie board, octopus. I recommend it all. It was absolutely delicious, the Paella was the best Paella I have ever had. Chef came out when it closed and said hi to us. She was great and the waitress was amazing too. She was extremely knowledgeable on all the plates and drinks. Can't wait to come back! I went on a Friday evening and it was full but there was no wait.

It is loud and very uncomfortable. The chairs are an "eclectic" mix with most being of an industrial style that are uncomfortable (especially if you are a larger patron) and there are no soft surfaces in the dining area to absorb sound so after a few glasses of sangria everyone gets loud, then you're forced to scream at your party just to be heard. There are also bare bulbs for lighting that aren't pleasant as they shine right in your face as you're trying to look across the table to converse. At one point, I noted a sandwich board with a message from the chef admonishing patrons that the kitchen makes everything to order and we were warned verbally about the kitchen staff being small so the service would be on the slow side (we were told the paella would take an hour and twenty minutes from the time we ordered it to arrive at our table). This is fine, and I appreciated the communication upfront to manage our expectations, BUT the seating and atmosphere were so unpleasant, I wouldn't have wanted to be there for that long.If you're looking for a "lively" place and you're not in a hurry, this will be just the place for you. I prefer a more chill and relaxing atmosphere so I can talk to my party without yelling, so I did not enjoy the atmosphere at all.On the plus side, there were several options that are gluten free to choose from. I had the sirloin. It was fine, though presentation was lacking from what I saw in the photos in the menu and I felt like it was sitting in too much oil.The food was good, but it didn't make up for the atmosphere.
