We stopped here on a guys trip Saturday night. The location is just off the main strip making it a perfect place for dinner on a busy night without a long wait. The food was delicious and the owner was very kind. I would recommend this for a group outing before exploring downtown.
The best baklava I have ever had. My son would live off the sambusas. Lentils have amazing flavor. Potato’s taste better than my mamaw’s and that is saying something.
What a nice experience! First time tried Ethiopian cuisine. Service was very attentive and the food was good. Can recommend for exploring something different!
We gave it a shot but I don't think Ethiopian cuisine is for us. The sambusas were very good. We liked the chicken drumsticks and the pepper sauce. The beef and chicken tips had a strange seasoning that was somewhat overpowering. Glad we tried it though for something different. The staff seemed very friendly.
Took a group of teenagers for a different experience. Arefaine Reda "Michael" took fantastic care of us. Suggested family style platter and we experienced a little bit of everything. He did the coffee ceremony for us and we loved the experience. The incense smell with the coffee was Amazing! Who knew that coffee and popcorn go together?!? The best baklava I have ever had. Reasonably priced and definitely would go again. Even the teenagers enjoyed the food!
Amazing food and very friendly staff! Everything we ordered was super tasty, non-greasy and perfectly spiced. Would definitely recommend a meal here!!
Super awesome local business from Ethiopia that I cannot give enough appreciation for bringing their incredible to us so well. Everything was cheap and authentic, they treated us very well and the environment was pleasant, and the food was even better than I expected. My only tiny complaint would be that the service was a bit slow, but that was because they truly an unusually large crowd when we came, however they still served us at a good pace (it really wasn’t that slow). I wish I could’ve gotten everything, but I got the spicy lamb tips with split peas and red lentils - can’t think of any criticism, it was all so much better than I imagined. Love this place and I’m not from Louisville, but I sincerely hope I can come back some day.
While traveling to Atlanta, we stayed at the Homewood Suites and walked several blocks to this restaurant from there. It was 7:30 on a Wednesday evening and we were the only customers. The service was friendly and excellent and the food was very good -- the equal of what was provided in the various Ethiopian restaurants we've visited in a number of cities across North America. Also, the price was good: $41 for a filling and delicious dinner with an appetizer.
This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, and it was great! They have a variety of vegetarian dishes as well.
