Went in just for some breakfast, got biscuits and gravy, milk, and a side of bacon. The food was okay, not amazing but not terrible either. I went to go order just a Nutella milkshake and the person taking my order said he can't do milkshakes right now, he's the only person in. I'd understand if it's a big meal or something, but a milkshake? Id rather go to cookout down the street for a better experience and a cheaper meal.
We had a great time at Tolly Ho's!! Great service very clean and the BEST BEST burger I've ever had thanks to Milo the second shift cook!! Everyone was very friendly!!! I most definitely will go back!!!
Had a wonderful Tolly-Ho double burger and shared a huge plate of fries loaded with my friend! Cook Milo was very informative about how they cook their burgers
First time here, we really enjoyed it! The staff is very friendly, the food was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful!
Are you drunk? Is it 2 am? If so, 5/5 perfect experience. If not, the service is pretty slow and the food is decent dive food. Greasy, salty deliciousness can be had here and it's great for a hangover or after a night bar hopping.
My family and i went into Tolly Ho tonight for supper and the young girl who waited on is was very rude and not professional at all. She had a bad smell to her as well. She was definitely working in the wrong place and Tolly Hos will lose business with that one working with customers.
First time here and was a great experience and the staff was very friendly
A no-frills family restaurant that provides comfortably familiar food at fair prices and ample portion sizes.
Ultimately left because of NO service. We went to try this supposed Lexington staple. Walked in behind a group of 5 customers. Those customers had there order taken and then we were told it would be a couple minutes before they could take our order. Mind you there was probably 10 customers in the place including the 5 that just walked in. We proceeded to wait 5-8 minutes while the women who took orders fixed drinks and talked with her co-worker while having her back to us look at the kitchen. After waiting with no acknowledgment of us waiting or maybe why were waiting we walked out. If this place is a staple and they act like this when they aren't busy I would hate to see when they are.We went to Cookout down the street and got prompt service and the food was delicious!!!
A sluggish Sunday afternoon led Fat Man Reviews to Tally-Ho in Lexington, KY. Tally-Ho is a burger and breakfast joint that has been a Lexington tradition since 1971.I had a Super-Ho with fries. The Super-Ho is a 1/2 pound double patty burger on a lightly toasted sesame seed bun. I had it with American cheese, lettuce tomato, onion and mayo. You can customize the burger with different cheeses(American, Swiss, habanero and cheddar) as well as lots of other toppings(ketchup, mustard, Ho sauce, onion, lettuce, pickle, bacon, fried egg, BBQ or ranch). The veggies were fresh, the burger was juicy, kinda greasy and cooked well. It's always a good sign when some grease drips off of the burger. The bun was fresh, held up well to the burger and the sandwich had a good burger to bun ratio. The fries were frozen from a bag, but they were cooked crispy and seasoned well. The meal was excellent, but I wish they melted the cheese on the burger before serving it. The burger could also use a bit of salt and pepper when cooking. My fiancé tried a Tally-Ho burger with and cheese fries. She had lettuce, American cheese, tomato, pickle and mayo on hers. Again the burger was cooked well, the bun was fresh, and the fries were cooked and seasoned correctly. The cheese sauce tasted like a processed sauce that came from a can, not unlike a cheese whiz type of sauce. It had a slight creaminess to it and there is a good amount added to the fries.Tally-Ho offers several breakfast items, including sandwiches, omelettes, pancakes and French toast. They also serve sandwiches along with their burgers. Bottled or canned beer is available, and they have some pinball and video games to enjoy. The Fat Man says that Tally-Ho is Fat Man Approved.
