We heard a lot about this place. The wings were not worth getting. We requested extra crispy and they were still gooey. Hush puppies were above average. The fish was just average. Overall- not bad but needs some upgrading and the inside needs updated.
Absolutely the best food and kind service of nearly any restaurant!! My son got the crayfish and shrimp bucket. It was a LOT of food, plus two sides. My husband got a HUGE dish of shrimp and grits that were incredibly flavorful. There was enough for two meals. I got the scallops with a salad and okra. So good!! The salad was so fresh and a good size as well. We got Chesapeake oysters and fried banana rings for appetizers and it was more than enough for three of us to share. We look forward to visiting again next time we are in Lexington!!
Great seafood restaurant! You can always tell by the parking lot if the place is going to be good and this place was great!! It was packed when we got there but we were quickly seated. We started off with the peel and eat shrimp(cold) and the Mrs. had the fried fish with fried okra while I enjoyed the fish and chips! The other couple with us had the Shrimp and Grits and the blackened fish tacos!! Everyone throughly enjoyed their meals! The waitress was fabulous checking back on us often to see if we needed anything!! Great place so if you haven't been check it out!!

Service was great, the food had a good taste but was on the salty side. Catfish bites were the best thing we tried!
All I can say is WOW. Best seafood I've had since I lived in Florida. She had the grilled Oysters and the Oyster Rockefeller and coleslaw. I had the Shrimp and Scallop Rockefeller Linguini, calamari, anda salad. The grilled oysters were so good, we got another order before we left. Five stars for sure and we will definitely be back!
Accidentally found this place while roaming around Lex. After reading the reviews we decided to give it a try. My wife loves seafood - I'm not a big fan, but I can usually find something to eat.Decor was beachy dive-bar by design. Our server was excellent and the rest of the staff seemed nice. The seafood my wife and our neighbors had was excellent. In addition to being fork tender, my hardwood-fired filet was one of the most flavorful steaks I've ever ate!So why only 4 star?? The hush puppies were flat-out bland and the baked potato was small and blah. Also, the bathrooms were on par with a beach oyster bar! Lol. Regardless, if you want great seafood inland or a great tasting steak, you have to go to the Ketch!
First time eating here food was excellent service was great one of the better seafood restaurants in the area highly recommended
We were searching all over town for fresh raw oysters and this place saved the day! Delicious food and amazing cocktails (poison apple with glitter!!!) delivered with excellent service. Can’t wait to go back!
I had my birthday dinner here with 20 people. Oscar did amazing and was so calm and cool. Everyone's food was freshly prepared and drinks stayed full. The Ketch is a staple of the Southland community and wonderful seafood place with friends. Give them a visit!! Snow crab and shrimp bucket hit the spot and the catfish sandwich is huge!
