The Burl and the Burl Arcade are a couple of my favorite entertainment spots in Lexington. Plenty has been said about the Arcade, so I’ll focus on their newest feature at the club: outdoor shows. I saw Steve Earle there last night, and the way they arrange everything worked out so well. They have ample opportunities to quench your thirst on either side of the stage, a cool new balcony where you can sit on top of the pop-up bar on the right, and there’s room for everyone to stretch out and enjoy the show. While Burl indoor shows can only fit a pretty small amount of people in there, the parking lot shows could allot for twice the capacity of people. Parking is trickier, so you can either use the gravel lot behind the venue on Manchester, Thompson street, or the two lots across Manchester at the Distillery District. It was a scorcher last night, and they also let my friend and I in with our clear Nalgene water bottles (they just checked to make sure it wasn’t alcohol.) I was grateful to be able to bring in water! Fantastic show, and I hope this helps bring them more acts of this caliber.
Fantastic servers, awesome location to see a show!
Sound guy checking the levels in the audience during the Town Mountain show. Much appreciated! Gotta keep the levels in check. Shout out to Miles Miller-"The Human Metronome".
Super fantastic place to see live music and play games.
- Atmosphere/Environment: 5 StarsGreat place to attend a concert. Various areas to relax/socialize inside and outside. A relaxed venue that felt vary safe.- Stage: 5 StarsThis is a small (approximately 300) venue. We saw Pokey Lafarge, (who was fabulous). We were several rolls from the stage, but were still within 15 feet from the band/stage. The sound system was awesome.Staff: 5 StarsPerfect. Friendly, helpful, and professional.Food/Drinks: 3 Stars- Drinks/drink options were fine. The only knock was the food options. Very minimal, and prices were a little high.Do I Recommend: YES. Great experience.Fun place to see a concert. Will I visit again? YES. I am actively checking their schedule for the next concert I plan to attend.Tips / Recommendations: Eat before you go to The Burl; or go early, get a parking spot and then walk across the street and eat at one of the various restaurants. FYI: They allowed us to bring in pizza and soda that we got at Godfathers. That was cool.
It gets so hot inside here, but that's to be expected when its packed full of people having a good time. The bartenders are fast and very friendly! Would definitely come again!
The energy here is powerful and the building readily accommodate that energy. Came for Lane Allen and RagsAndRiches show and love every ounce of it. Perfect place to be!!

Great outdoor music venue with arcade and food on site. Food was awesome and there were a wide variety of drinks available. Didn’t get to play the arcade games but there were a lot! Also has a photobooth which was fun.
