Went with a work group and I'll tell ya the food was absolutely amazing. We just ordered lost of appetizers and shared with the group. Everything we ate was amazing. The food was extremely authentic to Japanese cuisine. Will definitely be going back and more often. Don't sleep on this place as prices were good for the food, average around 8-13$ depending. Some items were definitely more. But all was well worth it! Cant wait to go back!
Food was good. Service was pretty bad.
Food is five star. Fresh and perfectly seasoned. Service was a bit hit or miss, but nothing too bad. I also thought the place was very noisy. Of course, that has more to do with the customers at any given time. Still, I wonder if playing some soothing Japanese music would bring the volume down a bit. Excellent meal. I will be back.
This is an authentic Japanese sushi and sashimi restaurant. I lived in Japan for 20 years, and I have eaten in many sushi restaurants there. The presentation and quality of the meal here is outstanding. The service is good and the staff are friendly.I highly recommend Tachibana if you see looking for a real taste of Japan.
I think I have just found my new favorite restaurant in Lexington! Pictured is the miso ramen and the eel roll, which were both delicious! I will definitely be returning for a stay at the sushi bar
Tachibana had a great variety on their menu. We really loved the sushi menu especially the negi-toro roll (definitely the favorite of the night). We also got the salmon carpaccio as an appetizer which was different from what other Japanese restaurant in the area served. Theirs has cheese on it which was unique and delicious. The entrees selection was also plentiful. I had a variety set (more traditional style Japanese bento) and it was very filling but a touch too expensive in my opinion. My husband had the sukiyaki which he could not finish because we over ordered as per usual. Unfortunately, we left our sukiyaki in a to-go container on the table and we called to come back and get it 15 minutes after but they already threw it out. They were also really busy for a Monday night so the sushi came out after the entree which was a little odd. The staff was really nice. We’ll be back to try other things.
The sushi is good, not great but the star attraction is the ramen. I had the tonkatsu ramen which was delicious and at just $12 in a covid world of restaurant pricing quite the bargain for a savory broth, nice slices of pork and perfect noodles. The service was also excellent.
Authentic Japanese food beautifully presented. First class sushi, beautiful and tasty bento box and a nice bowl of ramen.
I had an excellent time! I got the Chicken Tankatsu and it was fantastic. It comes with a salad, miso soup, and rice as well, so you are getting a huge bang for your buck. I will definitely be back!
I love this place, food is tasty. But I live from Louisville so it’s 1 hour away from Tachibana.
