Smashing Tomato was great as always. The staff were friendly, the ordering was quick and we didn't have to wait long for our pizza. In fact, they brought it to the table. The pizza tasted great and what I liked most was when I paid, the credit card reader remembered my number and that I had enough points to redeem for a discount. This is my daughter's go-to pizza restaurant. And I recommend it over all the others.
We doordashed the artichoke dip and a 12” ultimate pepperoni with garlic butter, goat cheese and roasted garlic. The order was quickly ready for our dasher and the food was wonderful!
Maybe we were just unlucky, but not a great experience. Everything was self service, which is fine (would have been nice to have someone greet and explain this when entering the restaurant). The station to leave your plates was overflowing with dirty dishes covered in other patrons food and drink, there was no where to even put the trash. The pizzas were bland, reminiscent of school cafeteria. The kids pasta was cooked to a rubber like consistency as well. Would not go back.
Pro’s. Smaller and laid back, Very quiet, excellent food.Con’s. No obvious menus at the tables except for a QR code. With no data purchased whilst travelling from Canada, I am not going to drop $12 for a bit of data, then create an account just to look at a menu.That said, would go back in a moment.
Best pizza place in town. Love their pizza, sauce is amazing and it doesn’t hurt that they they serve decent wines and beers. ? wish they’d expand to other parts of the city! However, I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review until tonight. I visited solo for a late dinner and didn’t realize I ordered in shortly before close. I offered to box my pizza. The staff insisted I stay while they closed down. They continued to wait on me-offering me refills and even a sample of bread and oils, even though they didn’t have to do so. They kept reassuring me to stay and enjoy my food. As I waited for my order, I listened to their exchanges with other guests and then me, they were ALL so genuinely friendly, happy and personable. They worked so well together and they put their customers’ needs first. Before I left I asked if they’d let me take their picture to post alongside a review I planned to leave. I told them how rare it is for businesses to treat their guests this way and that means a lot. They obliged. Thank you to these four -and one who clocked out before I left- for being so hospitable and happy. Smashing Tomato is lucky to have this great crew. ? ♥️
I ordered the Americano and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. Love the brick oven and the light crust. The only reason I didn't eat the entire pizza in the restaurant was that I wanted to savor it and save a couple of pieces for the next night.
Rarely write reviews, but seeing as they gave us a free pizza because our first one had tiny hole, thought they deserved it. Great Pizza, Great Service, highly recommend!
You order by a qr code, drinks, napkins, to go box's and your fork and knife are all self serve, and the suggested tip is 20%... For what service? At least the food was good.

Great brick oven pizza. Giving 4 stars because Goodfellas is probably the best in the area. Smashing tomato is a great alternative, though. Highly recommend.
