If there’s a better pizza on the planet, we haven’t found it! This really is a better pizza than any we have tasted anywhere in Italy or the rest of the world. The spicy smashing sauce is a must. Enjoy!
I am not sure why I have never tried eating here and always assumed it was a fast food place. We had every intention of eating somewhere else and due to an hour wait we decided to go somewhere else and landed here. We ordered the Dinner Special if which consisted of a 12" "Keeneland" Pizza and a Caesar Salad and ordered the Artichoke Dip in a small. The portions were very good and all for a fair price (pictured). The Fire Cooked Pizza was Fantastic! The Artichoke Dip along with the pizza bread was also fantastic. The Caesar salad was pretty average but it also came with some pizza bread and the Olive Oil/Vinegar and Spice blend made this bread even better. This will definitely not be the last time we come here.
Usually good place for wood fired pizza. However I do not recommend going there 15 minutes before closing. Burnt pizza, barely any toppings and for the win, they gave me the wrong soup (unless orzo has drastically changed!). The staff member who brought out my order was courteous, but she was the only one. It took a solid 3 minutes for the person behind the counter to acknowledge I was standing in front of them anxiously awaiting for him to take my order. I did not discover the order was incorrect and the pizza was on the verge of inedible until returning to Georgetown. I’m sure the rats in the dumpster enjoyed this meal!
Best pizza place in town. Love their pizza, sauce is amazing and it doesn’t hurt that they they serve decent wines and beers. ? wish they’d expand to other parts of the city! However, I’ve never felt compelled to leave a review until tonight. I visited solo for a late dinner and didn’t realize I ordered in shortly before close. I offered to box my pizza. The staff insisted I stay while they closed down. They continued to wait on me-offering me refills and even a sample of bread and oils, even though they didn’t have to do so. They kept reassuring me to stay and enjoy my food. As I waited for my order, I listened to their exchanges with other guests and then me, they were ALL so genuinely friendly, happy and personable. They worked so well together and they put their customers’ needs first. Before I left I asked if they’d let me take their picture to post alongside a review I planned to leave. I told them how rare it is for businesses to treat their guests this way and that means a lot. They obliged. Thank you to these four -and one who clocked out before I left- for being so hospitable and happy. Smashing Tomato is lucky to have this great crew. ? ♥️
My family really enjoyed the pizza and bread sticks. The staff was extremely helpful. You order at the counter (or online), and they bring the food to you. The food came much faster than we expected.
This pizza is, hands down, the best. They have the perfect amount of desirable chew without dipping into toughness in the crust. If it’s all about the sauce (and it is) theirs is the best. Get the spicy. We love their salad and try to recreate it at home. Their dipping options for the sheet music bread takes it all to the next level. It’s fast. It’s causal. What else do you want?! This pizza lacks nothing. Go here and go often.
I had only tried the pizza before this visit. This time I tried a pasta dish, and it was fantastic! I will definitely be getting it or a different pasta dish again.
Well the prices went up and the portions went down! My Penne Romagna was in a 1/2 size bowl. Literally about a label full of pasta for $10.95 ! And my partners salad did not have $2 worth of chicken added. They have reduced staff, request that you order at table. I can't believe people still go here...this is probably our last trip..thier profits must be out of this world... well I for one quit helping the cause
Food was prepared quickly, friendly service, military discount, and I love that they have different specialty pizzas to try each time we go.
Absolutely love this place! Pizza with “smashed” (spicy) sauce and tomato basil soup are great to help warm you up on a cold day. Frank, you’ve got a great team at the Fayette Place location!
