Won’t be back. Not that great. The only good thing we ate were the baked beans. Meats lacking flavor.
I haven’t tried everything on the menu …. Yet.But what I’ve had has been great!!Pulled pork, Ribs, Brisket, it’s all amazing and I love the variety of sauces available. Something for every palate?The sides I’ve had are really good too.Thanks Red State BBQ!This is my go to BBQ place!
Fantastic food and no frills ambiance as expected from a local family barbecue place. Service was quick and friendly. Chicken was so flavorful and moist, and the corn pudding reminded me of Granny’s.
It was very good BBQ - we all enjoyed what we ordered. Typical funky atmosphere with writing on the wall. Would recommend and will return next time we are in the area.
Based on TA reviews we had dinner here. Very good bbq pulled pork and brisket. Excellent fries made from cut potatoes, very good bbq beans. Order at the counter and pick up your food on paper plates. Don't buy the two meat platter, they charge you quite a bit more and give you 1/2 the meat of a one meat platter. Eight different BBQ sauces, so something for everyone.
Friendly, local place. No frills. The sliced brisket was some if the best I’ve had! Tender and moist. The sides are great. The Kentucky small batch sauce is amazing ???
My husband loves BBQ so we tried this place. He said Best Brisket he had ever had. As for a veggie it had the Best Mac & Cheese I have ever had (except for mine). The 3 veggie sides were very good.
We live 90 miles from Red State but we make lots of opportunities to eat there as much as we can. EVERY time we fo to the Kentucky Horse Park, Red State is a must to visit. Everything is great. Passing through and found this on Trip advisor, saw the reviews and thought way not….well the reviews were spot on this BBQ place is fantastic! We had the full rack of ribs and they were tender, full of meat and flavor….this place jumped to our best ever BBQ restaurant….I wish they were in Ohio
Found this place after seeing it on trip advisor. Very glad we had this dining experience because the food was exceptional and it had a quaint ambiance. Had ribs, brisket, pulled pork and chicken wings and thought everything was stellar! Upon entering we met Sean, the manager, who was extremely friendly and had great suggestions. Our party of four all agreed that this will be a yearly stop on our return from the bourbon trail.
