Visiting from North Carolina and decided to walk to a random bar, came upon Ramsey’s. The food (buffalo chicken salad with house made blue cheese dressing) was incredible, Kentucky mule was fantastic, and the staff was very helpful. Perhaps the best chicken I have ever had. May have to go for dinner as well. Only suggestion is adding Wi-Fi as the service isn’t great in that area.

I have loved this restaurant for years! The mismatched furniture and laid back atmosphere makes it unique local favorite. I recommend the vegetable plate and make sure to get the fried green tomatoes and apple fritters! Dessert is a must and you can't make a wrong decision there, my favorite is the Key Lime Pie.

They were very busy but we were seated as soon as we walked in. The wait staff was excellent. The food was phenomenal. I had a country fried steak and fried green tomatoes along with mashed potatoes. Great food. Friendly staff. I'll be back for sure.

The quality of the food is amazing! Atmosphere at the restaurant (even though we carried out) is a lot of fun and very unique. Prices are less than you'd pay for fast food. This is our go-to place for always great food. Pies are awesome, too!

This place is great. I didn’t get to try the pies but apparently they are great!! I would highly recommend this location to any looking for southern food.

Poor service, food was excellent

This is THE place to go when you’re in Lexington. The food is absolutely incredible, especially if you’re looking for truly home cooked food. I went with my fiancée and there was not a thing we ordered that we didn’t like. The staff is great also. If you go I recommend asking for Allison. She was a peach. Next time we’re in town, we will be stopping back in. Five stars isn’t enough.

Disclaimer: Normally I LOVE Ramsey's food and I think maybe it was just a bad day for them.Pros:*Their Butterscotch pie was delicious!*They were not crowded at all at 4pm on a Saturday.Cons:*This location is in a strip mall and has very little ambiance.*It was FREEZING cold in the restaurant. Bring a blanket for your legs and a jacket. I'm not kidding. It's spectacularly hard to enjoy anything when you are that uncomfortable.*Chairs were hard and uncomfortable.*The food just wasn't up to their usual standards. *The blackened catfish was overly spiced and was kind of a mush consistency and went cold very quickly given the temperature in the room.*The green bean flavor was just not there and they were full of strings.*The fried tomatoes also had little to no flavor, were extra greasy and we're sliced so thin it was basically breading.*Hush puppies were doughy*Cornbread was ok, but cold and didn't come with butter.*Like everywhere I believe they were probably understaffed so you constantly had to find someone and ask for napkins, refills, etc. With long wait to order. (The server was extremely nice)Again, I feel bad writing this as normally I do love their menu and food.

I ate lunch there today with a friend. I had chicken livers and my friend had catfish. Both we delicious. Serving size was large. Spit a warm pecan pie with ice cream for dessert. I will be back! I even ordered piece of catfish to take home. Thanks for a great meal!
