Mellow Mushroom is a great downtown restaurant. Parking is terrible but the food is worth it. Everything always tastes fresh and delicious. The staff are super friendly. It is a little pricey but it is high quality. I had the Pacific Rim (red sauce, mozzarella, ham, bacon, caramelized onion, pineapple, and jalapeño) and my wife had the Kosmic Karma (comes with red sauce but she had a pesto base, sheep's milk feta, mozzarella, spinach, sun-dried roasted tomato, Roma tomatoes, and a pesto swirl). We each had a small and they were about $13 apiece. They also have a decent selection of beer and cocktails at average pricing.
It has been awhile since I have been there, but the experience is always great. The service was on point, attentive, fast and they know what they are selling. We were a group of eight, including three kids and we were able to sit right away. The 'femele' bathroom was very clean, that is always a plus and last but not least the food was superb. Almost all the adults ordered a different calzone and we all raved about each. Returning costumer for sure!!!
I've always loved mellow mushroom. Their pizzas are so good. Especially the buffalo chicken and house pizzas. We also got the Pacific rim. It was great. It was so good I forgot to take pics! Restaurant was very clean and staff was food!
1st timers!!! Food and atmosphere was Great. We will definitely be back. Everything was made to order hot and fresh!!!

Our server, brown curly hair with glasses, was absolutely terrible. Took her 15 minutes to even come get our drink order. Then, as she was laughing around with her co workers, our cups sat empty for over 25 minutes. She wasn’t friendly at all either. She didn’t give us silverware or napkins. If I were in management I’d put her in the kitchen or cleaning the toilets. Absolutely useless. The only person who tried to help us was this sweet blonde server.
Great place to eat if your looking for something different in downtown lexington. The pizza is different but always good. Ive tried most of the options there and have never been disappointed.
Ordered a combination pizza with anchovies. Did not get my anchovies. Although not the same restaurant this is my second bad experience with mellow mushroom. Probably won't be going back to another one.
My husband and I stopped overnight in Lexington on our way to NC Smokey Mountains for a vacation. I've spent significant time in Lexington for work at UK and can't believe I didn't know about this place before this trip. We ordered the House Special and added banana peppers and jalapeno peppers. It was the BEST pizza we ever had!! It was huge, loaded, and tasked like it was made from love.Will be trying their location in Destin, FL and can't wait to share with our whole family on our vacation.
