I have been here numerous times. Most recently I ordered the chicken vindaloo. It was great. I asked for it extra hot because I like spicy food. It was not too hot but it was delicious and spicy. The garlic naan was fantastic. The rice was cooked well - aromatic basmati rice. The chai tea was prepared well and is always a favorite of mine.
Chicken Tikka Masala was watery and flavorless. And for $18.99 an entree - I expect it to taste very good.I've had great meals here, in the past don't get me wrong. But it was cheaper in the past, and better. The last few orders of Chicken Tikka Masala have been underwhelming and lacking in flavor. I didn't get the rich, thick sauce I was expecting and frankly - I was disappointed.I'm a big Indian food fan but the last few weeks I've been having bad experiences with both Taj and Masala.
1st time there and 1st time trying Indian food. It was really good. Took our daughter her husband, his parents,my dad, husband and myself. We got there right when they opened. Had a seat ready for us.
WOW! This place is delicious! I have never had Indian cuisine before trying this place today. I was shocked at how flavorful my food was. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala at a medium spice level. I also added an order of their Naan bread to go with it (the bread is a must, it is so delicious and is perfect for dipping down in your Masala sauce). My mouth was filled with an explosion of spice and flavor that is totally different than anything that I am accustomed to eating on a daily basis. I enjoyed everything about it and to be honest, I feel like I have been cheated by never being introduced to Indian food before now. I highly recommend trying this dish and this restaurant.
The food has always been Excellent, but prices have Sky Rocketed. $40 for lunch is unacceptable. All we’re talking about is chicken and Rice. We used to go 2 times a week but not anymore. $40 for lunch is to much
Dare I say, the best Indian food I've ever eaten? Samosas were incredible as well as the pakoras. The garlic naan was so fluffy. The vegetables in my paneer karahi were unbelievably fresh. The spice level was perfect (though, I'm a little afraid to try the "Indian hot" level). All of this cost, quite literally, half the price we are used to paying in Massachusetts for similar, yet inferior meals. Cannot wait to try the lunch buffet. We will be coming back regularly!
Authentic Indian food!!! Saag is phenomenal... Did takeout this first time trying this place and the naan was a little soggy when we got home and tried it so next time we'll eat in as it still tasted good but eating it right away when hot and fresh would be the way to go... Sweet and spicy shrimp I ordered it hot and it was very good!! In each dish we ordered unique and very different flavors, great job owners and management
Chicken Tiki Masala is absolutely amazing here! My husband gets the buffet and he says everything on it is wonderful as well. We used to be steak-n-potato people, but now we’re basically Indian foodies! The staff is all super attentive and friendly! We live almost an hour away and we will still drive to Lexington just to eat at Masala!
My absolute favorite spot to eat in Lexington! The BEST Chicken Tikka Masala and naan! I visit every week and get food to go (most of the time) and it is usually enough for two servings!
Fantastic eatery! It's my new favorite Indian place in Lexington! Wait staff was respectful and the food was delicious. Clean and welcoming atmosphere. The menus were easy to read and the entire experience was second to none. Definitely going to be coming back!
