Good location. Comfortable room. Pool is nice for families. Nice breakfast included if you have Bonvoy status, which is nice. Walls are thin, so you can hear talking in the room next to you. Large property with lots of group events taking place.

My room here was very nice and I loved that there was no carpet on the floors. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. I really appreciated that they had bottled water at the front desk. I was here for a conference and the food served during our meetings was very good. I had the opportunity to use the spa and they were fantastic! One of the best massages I've ever had. The only negative I had was there were a couple of paths that didn't have handrails and one that wasn't lit very well at night. I would stay here again.

Stayed at the Griffin Gate for our 1st trip to Lexington for the golf course & proximity to Kentucky Horse Park. Room was well appointed, comfy bed w/ huge balcony overlooking the 1st fairway. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We had access to fitness room & pool ( indoor & outdoor), a welcome thi g after golf. The course was nice, not too challenging but enough to make you think & it was it top shape. 15 minutes from the horse park, 10 min. from downtown attractions, 1/2 hr to Frankfort area distilleries, hour to Louisville. The staff was very friendly. 5 nights w/ our breakfasts was less than we've spent at lesser places. 5 stars, would definitely stay again.

My daughter and her husband were there on business and I traveled in to see them. Front desk was nice enough to move our rooms to same floor as close as they could to one another. I guess staff in housekeeping was new, our room was missing items like robes and laundry bag, body wash etc. Asked for robes, told they would be delivered later but I guess they were out because we never got them. Daughters room had weird sliding bathroom doors that opened at slightest touch, liked ours better, it was a real door. Pool was nice outside, Indoor pool supposed to be heated but was colder than the outdoor one. No towels at either pool. Hot tub was nice until the drunks came splashing everyone in it. They had wedding parties going on and they carried on half the night, the noise carried all the way up to 5th floor where we were because of the open concept Floorplan. Breakfast not worth the cost. Location of hotel great, beautiful grounds, gentleman at the bar late afternoon was very kind, I just got a coffee on my way out and he went out of his way to accommodate. Valet always spoke as we went by them. Very nice staff overall.

We stayed for a family wedding. Room rate is way over priced. There was a view of the room and there are hardly any drawers in the rooms to put clothes in. Bed sheets had holes in them. My moms room was so dusty there was writing on the window. My brothers room had left over hair in the tub. They messed up the wedding block so we were not together. The restaurant takes FOREVER no matter how big your party size is. I understand being short staffed for wait times but the 2 days I got breakfast there my order was wrong and it had to be fixed. Short staff doesn’t create an excuse for wrong orders. The only thing I can say good about this hotel was a comfy bed, thank god there was Starbucks coffee, and free water in the lobby.

Best hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. Darlene in the restaurant was a very good waitress-their caesar salad with salmon was delicious as well as the hamburger. Be sure to try the hot butter bourbon cake!!!! And the 2 young ladies working the Starbucks counter on June 1 were so kind and helpful. Definitely worth the stay. Rooms well insulated, couldn't hear anything and very clean.

The reason for the rating is as soon as we walked into our room we saw a cup full of the previous guest drink on our patio, the room had debris and hair in the corners (a lot and very noticeable) and in the shower. And the ultimate was pink fungus on the bottom of the shower that was literally corner to corner. It was visible as soon as you walked into the bathroom. There is a serious problem with house keeping and the lack of detail and supervision. Absolutely unacceptable. We checked out 5 minutes later and went to the Marriott City Center (fantastic location). We encountered the General Manager as we checked out and reported our findings. He was apologetic and offered us another room. We promptly declined. We are loyal to Marriott Bonvoy and travel several times a month. This is the first time we have had an experience like this and hopefully the last. I was so disappointed that I failed to take pictures.

The room was nice, but only nice. Nothing outstanding. We at at the Bluegrass Bistro and I would highly recommend NEVER doing that. Highly over-priced, the food was fair, yhe service was horrible. The golf course is well maintained, but a bit screwy. It seems there's an issue with ownership of one hole, so it's closed down. No, seriously. So the split a par 5 to make two holes. Just very disappointing for the prices paid. I expected better.

Travel there from out of town for a Friend's Birthday ? Celebration with several other ladies( we are grown women) wanted a nice experience at their Resort Style Pool and Resort Style Hotel. Well it was horrible, room, pool, bar, no restaurants in Hotel was open etc. Mind you this was a stay during a week day leading into the weekend. NEVER AGAIN ...NOT WORTH THE LONG DISTANCE DRIVE .NOR THE COST OF THEIR ROOMS.NEXT TIME it will be worth a flight or drive somewhere else.

The remodeling of the hotel is a success! Beautiful rooms! Our bellman, Brandon, was prompt, courteous, and professional! Great employee!!!
