We were passing through and wanted to try their local place. It was Friday July 1st early evening and we came away impressed with everything we ordered. One had the shrimp dinner, I had the catfish, best ever, and our son had wings, mac and cheese and a ton of corn bread. Wish we lived closer. Good luck to you all. Keep it up.
We got both of their burger week burgers. Both the burgers were wonderful. The employees are friendly and welcoming. When they say home style they don’t just mean the food. It’s like going to grandmas, good food and people who are happy you are there.
Whiting dinner with mac&cheese, bake beans and cornbread, flavors are delicious ? fish had a lil spice 2 it but I love spicy so I don't mind
I just left from there about 2 hours ago. This food......Lord this food......on point! From the Pork Chops ( I consider myself the Queen ? of Pork Chops) to the greens and cornbread ( have mercy) and the mashed potatoes ( laid me out!) Not to mention I found out I go to church with her relatives. God is good. For a whole year I was back and forth in this area and never knew this restaurant was here. I'm picky about home cooking places ( I'm a picky eater period), but this place is good!??‼️?? Thank you for a delicious meal!❤️
The food is delicious. For $16 I would like to have larger sides though! Or maybe I’m just fat… Idk
We gave eaten at this establishment many times - drive thru. Overall, the food is very good! We have experienced food inconsistency re taste and the portions. The meat portions are great, but the sides are the minimal amount in tiny containers. The portions of sides do not measure up to cost of a meal. I have ordered greens and have gotten green beans more times than one. Also, the geeen beans are too salty at times as well as spicy hot.
Ordered through delivery although chicken is seasoned good, they left out my son's entire meal, the cabbage was crunchy, and the greens were dry. The dessert of sauce and cake looked like someone took a piece off it, won't be ordering from them again. Luckily ordered through door dash, so I received partial credit back.
A great meal and a great staff. Southern family recipes shared with you for a very reasonable price The pork chops were tender and flavorful, perfectly cooked. The chicken breaded well and cooked perfectly as well. The cabbage was the best I’ve had. It wasn’t under or overcooked and was seasoned perfectly with just a little spice. The greens were excellent, as were the green beans. Just great southern style cooking that will remind you of eating at your grandmothers house as a child (if your grandmother was a great southern cook). The staff is courteous and kind. A great place that should get more recognition. I will definitely become a regular.
Our crew ordered the fried chicken, catfish and the whiting fillets. Sides included the fresh greens, cabbage, green beans and Mac n cheese. The meats were delicious, with the fish batter having a peppery kick to it. Mac n cheese was excellent as was the cabbage, but the greens were very salty. Each meal came with a tasty fried (and sweetened) corncake. Would go back again when in town.
Went with my Mother an sister an ordered different meals. Each one was hot an fresh an very good!! Definitely going back again an telling everyone I know about Josannes!! Is so good they did not disappoint!!
