Joe Bologna's has been around for many years, in an old church with the stained glass. If you're in town looking for a great local place to get a pizza or some pasta give Joe B's a try. Tonight my son had the manicotti and my wife and I had the spaghetti and meatballs. We asked if they could bake it for us which they were more than happy to accommodate. Everything tasted delicious. They were low staffed but our waitress did an excellent job keeping up as well working the bar even though we were seated in the dining section. When you go please try the bread sticks. Thank me later.

Went out with some friends for pizza and beer. Very good pizza. Hot, fresh and plenty of options. Pricing was fair as well. Staff was friendly. We were seated quickly - I think our party of 8 waited 20 minutes for a table at dinner time on a Friday night. Joe Bologna's is definitely worth a try if you are in the downtown Lexington area. Great sport for a quick meal before a Cats game!

This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been to! I ordered chicken parmesan with spaghetti, which was superb! While we waited, they served us each a breadstick that was at least 12 inches long! They have house made Italian dressing that was great too! I was so pleased with this place! I live in Little Rock Arkansas, so I really hope I have another opportunity to get back to Lexington Kentucky and try some other dishes from Joe's!

Great pizza and breadsticks!

Went there with the family to eat. After leaving, we noticed a nice business across the street. The family went over to the other business for about 20 minutes. After shopping we returned to not only my vehicle, but all 3 vehicles TOWED. Joe Bologna has people watching his lot to have cars towed. That's a quick way to lose customers permanently. $150 x 3 tow charged after we spent nearly $200 combined in his restaurant.

Great great great great great service, way to go Nikki !!!

The food was outstanding. It is such a pleasure to see people doing it there way. Do away with the chain restaurants and have more people like this.

My wife and I have a silly tradition where any time we stay out of town and don't want to go to a restaurant to eat, we come to TripAdvisor and choose a highly rated local pizzeria. We always get a simple pepperoni pizza. We've done this for years and have never felt like we made the wrong choice, until Joe Bologna's. We had it on a Friday night. When we called, they said it would be about 30 minutes, which is very standard and reasonable. I arrived exactly at that 30 minute mark and picked up the food. We had a large Sicilian pepperoni pizza, 2 breadsticks with marinara and a chef salad. The distance between the restaurant and our hotel was 3.1 miles and I believe it took me about 10 minutes to arrive. The pizza was cold as if it had been sitting for quite some time. While I appreciated the pepperoni placement, so that there was some on every piece, it made it so that half of every piece was without any pepperoni at all. They had it stacked in a row of 3-5 slices in a straight line. The crust of the Sicilian was thick enough that you didn't want to cram the entire piece in your mouth to take a bite, so you ended up with one bite with toppings and one bite without. It also barely had enough sauce on it to even say it was there. The cheese, sauce and toppings were arranged in a way that on the 12x17 large pizza, there was at least a 2 inch crust all the way around, which really cut down on flavor. The breadsticks were approximately a foot long each. They weren't bad at all, especially when dipped in the provided marinara sauce. And my wife said the salad was good. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I gave a 2 rating instead of a 1 based solely on the side items.

This place is kind of neat, an old converted church and a Lexington tradition. But really it’s not that great. The famous breadstick is just white bread in melted butter. Sicilian pizza is undercooked. Salad is basic and not ‘fresh’. Beer list is maybe 10 beers, wine list is 6 bottom-shelf choices.Servers are slow, wait is long, and the atmosphere is loud.If you are going somewhere to hang out with a big group of friends it would probably be a good time, but there are definitely more hip, better pizza places in town.

The food was just ok it just didn't seem to have a lot of taste. I had to put salt on the pizza because it was bland. The only thing that was good was the bread. But on a good note the service was outstanding.
