My boyfriend made reservations for our 1 year anniversary. They were so thoughtful to leave a card at our table, and they even gifted us a piece of carrot cake. It was the best carrot cake...ever!! The food and drinks were amazing! Kyler, our waiter, was very knowledgeable about the menu and was all-around awesome! Pics posted. (Drink: the doppelgänger...I HIGHLY recommend!!)
My family and I have been enjoying going out to eat every other week. My older sister mentioned this place and I had never been before. We made reservations and were seated promptly. Our waiter was very attentive and kept our glasses full. The food came out hot and delicious. I don’t know how my Husband and I have never eaten here? We are foodies! Lol We will definitely come here again.
Coming from out of town we lucked into a fantastic experience! Alexis and Nick were friendly and so hospitable! They had suggestions for the Bourbon trail and beautiful sights in the area. Sat at the bar since we didn't have a reservation.... Best thing that could have happened! It was like a small community welcoming us to Lexington. The food was fantastic but our Nick and Alexis really made this a top notch, unforgettable dinner!
We made it! After two cancellations due to illness we finally got here on the third try and boy was it worth the wait! The food was delicious. The service and teamwork among all the staff was like a well-oiled machine. And management was so understanding and gracious about our health issues. I cannot thank them enough for being so patient.Every single one of the staff that stopped by our table and checked us in were all so welcoming and pleasant. We enjoyed every morsel and cannot wait until we can come back. They never disappoint with the creativity and seasoning of the dishes and cocktails. Most importantly they do not sacrifice taste for pretty plating. Both go hand in hand here and I love it!
Food and drinks were absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I came here for a quick date night, but we ended up staying for hours. Our server Gabriel, was thee best server we have ever had at any restaurant. Top notch service! He knew exactly what we wanted and when we wanted it! His suggestions were superb, and completely added to the experience. Will definitely be coming back here again!

Excellent meal with friends. I got the steak and fries. The steak was perfectly cooked and I loved the shoestring potatoes. Our server, Kainen, was outstanding as well. This was my first visit to J Alexanders but I will return.
Please make reservation through google - we did!! And I am glad that I did that.Service was great. Our waitress, Gabriel, was really quick, superb.We ordered Steak Maui, Filet Mignon, and Thai Kai Salad. Dessert was dobash chocolate cake with ice cream. All were tasty and cooked and prepared perfectly
I was really excited to visit for the first time. But I think my expectations were a little bit too high. I went thinking that this was going to be first-rate steak experience but it lacked the flavor that gives great steak places the edge. I had the prime rib and while it was ok, it wasn't anything that made me say yum! The mashed potatoes lacked any flavor, and they tasted like no butter, salt or cream/milk was used to give them that creamy taste. For the price, I have had much better. The salad was the best part. 110.00 for two not including the tip.
