I stopped into Harry’s on Friday afternoon around 1:00, they were busy so I took a seat at a dirty table, they finally came out and cleaned it off, and told me my server would be there shortly, I texted my friend that I had a table when I sat down, after having numerous servers, assistants and managers walking by I flagged down a server, she obviously didn’t have my table by the look of disgust on her face, by this time it was 12 minutes since I had sat down, hence the time I sent the text, the server I flagged down finally came back and I told her don’t worry about it, and got up and went inside. Then Savanah came up to the table immediately, very nice, and accommodating, ordered the Buffalo shrimp appetizer that used to be so good, now they serve 6 tiny shrimp covered in batter hiding on some lettuce, no buffalo sauce, had to ask for some, not worth $20 at all! This visit was a very bad thing, I will no longer go there, bad from start to finish.
My husband and I are huge Harry’s/Malone’s fans, and have never had an issue before but we always go to the Hamburg location. After our experience at the Palomar location yesterday evening, we will never be back. For starters, all of the food was half cold. My sushi(supposed to be fried) was cold and had plastic in it too. Fries were soggy, salad was slimy. Overall, I just felt like our food had been sitting out. Our waitress was great and attentive, but the lack of hospitality from management was not like our previous experiences at the Hamburg location. I did tip her well because none of the issues were her fault, but we did voice our concern and didn’t really see or hear much from a manager. At the Hamburg location, the managers are on top of it all… this location not so much. $75 wasted on a meal that wasn’t good at all.
Great food, great fast service a must for any stop in the Lexington area.
I know Malone's is the top of the three (Drake's, Harry's, and Malone's)but I kinda dig Harry's the most out of the three!
I have been coming here for years. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with a server who treated my whole table with disrespect. I will never be going back along with the several others I have informed on this matter. Stay away!
I know prices have increased at most places, but we had a $145 tab for 3 people- 1 alcoholic beverage, 1 water, 1 tea, 1 appetizer, 3 entrees. $8.99 for a salad?? $9.99 for an extra side?? $15.99 for the calamari appetizer. This chain** is charging like they’re a fine dining restaurant. On top of it our service was slow and our salmon was over cooked. We won’t be back.
Traveling through town, we stopped for dinner. It was so crowded and parking lot so jammed, we almost departed. There are no reservations. You look for a table and grab it. Some nice folks gave us their table as they left. We ordered salads which would be food enough for either of us. My Thai salad was great. A California merlot was $10. Fun place. Smiling waitress. Glad we stayed. It is more sports bar than restaurant.
Tried something new. It was delish! Most things are. Friendly and efficient service!
