OMG.... Y'ALL!!!! This place has some of the BEST fried chicken that Lexington has to offer. In my opinion it does have a slight kick when you bite into it but ooooo is it yummy? !!! The chicken is cooked to order so there's going to be some waiting involved. It's well worth it. Fresh EVERY TIME!! Great service and Great food.
The best fried okra I have ever eaten, the potato salad is awesome, too! The fried chicken lives up to its name as well! Everything tasted very fresh!
We live in Dayton ohio. Every year on the way to the lake we stop to eat here. It’s the best chicken. We wish there was one in Dayton ohio. People are so friendly and our kids love the food also.
Absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sides are wonderful as well. Many chicken places have good chicken but sub-par mac and cheese and slaw. Not this place though, it's all yummy. Chicken is fried fresh when you order it and not sitting under a heat lamp for hours. My only issue is that they DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE! After experiencing this delicious chicken, a few weeks later I tried SEVERAL times for over an hour to call and place an order for pickup. It was around 3:00 in the afternoon, so after lunch and before dinner time. Almost took a star away because of the inability to call ahead but the chicken is so outstanding that it's still worth the five stars. Hopefully they will pay some attention to the customers on the phone but I do appreciate the awesome food!

Fantastic! Best Fried Chicken North of Memphis. I've never had slaw so fine & I mean shredded to perfection. Everything you want great people & great food. Can't wait to come back. Too busy enjoying the food to get pictures. Will add after my next visit.
Absolutely delicious! This was our first time trying Gus’s, and we loved it. All of the food was fresh, the restaurant was clean with a neat atmosphere, and the service was wonderful. Our server kept our drinks full and checked on us multiple times while we ate our meal. The chicken has a little spice to it but is not overwhelming. Our server said that the tenders are a good alternative if you don’t like spicy. I also have to say that the price are not bad at all, very comparably priced to KFC or Popeyes, but at a much higher quality. Definitely check this place out the next time you are looking for chicken!
Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken is well priced with great atmosphere for all, it’s in a great location also. As the title says it’s World famous chicken it’s a must try when ever in Lexington.
