Just wanted to make it known how the employees Flick off customers and tell them to go F themselves! Some Indian lady was very rude on a Tuesday night they messed my order up and I had to come back and she immediately comes to the window tellinggg me I need to say my order a certain way don’t do this bla bla So obviously we got off on the wrong foot I was not happy! Tried to make me give all my food back for her to only give me tenders (which is what was messed up) when I payed for a whole meal! which of course I did not give anything back because why would I trade my whole meal for only tenders??? absolutely NOT! She made no sense at all she ended up cussing at me and flicking me off! Because she knew she was wrong! Couldn’t even be mature! Not okay!!!! This happened about a week ago and I’m still mad. I have never experienced customer service so terribly before!
I stopped in yesterday and got ten pieces of dark meat and a pint of colslaw And potato salad. had to wait 10 minutes they were slammed and the more mature woman with the baseball cap took very good care of me. I have had to wait before, it's no issue for me to do that the chicken is so good!! when it's nice out this place gets busy and it amazes me the food is always good and fresh!! Thank you for all you do to feed The community!! You do an excellent job!! Worth the stop if you want to try traditional Kentucky cooking!!
I had an issue with items that were ordered on Uber eats. The owner went above and beyond to make it right. Good customer service is how you keep customers coming back. Thank you Mr. Grimes! I’m happy to support businesses that care about their customers.
Can we talk about how horrible Grimes owner is?I just called the store to notify them that I had ordered some potato wedges and they were soggy not fresh and that it was like the 3rd time I had my ordered with them served that way when they usually aren’t. Can you tell me why this man told me that it was MY job to make sure THEIR food was to standard? AND that I just need to check my food from now on to make sure their food ain’t nasty! Being a food service professional for over 10 years I am completely baffled at how rude he was when I was calling to give a polite critique, not to get my money back nor ask to get it corrected. I just wanted my food right from here on out because I come at least once a week. But after today I will NEVER come back. The food has been disgusting lately anyway
One of the best chicken spots in Lexington! Definitely get a 10 piece and some sides - you will eat all of it!
Friendliest staff & good chicken & desserts! I love the corn muffins. I felt like the sides were not as tasty as they used to be, though.
Whenever we are in the area, we make a detour to Grimes' for the chicken. The only thing my wife and i disagree on is whether spicy or regular. The chicken is tender and moist. The candied yams on the side are a perfect finish.
Saw some good reviews for here and made a point to try the food. When we pulled up saw a few people leaving out of the front door with bags of food and thought although the dining room was closed I could go in and take my time looking at the menu so I could order after seeing the menu thoroughly. As soon as I walked in I was told quite sternly that I had to go through the Drive thru only. I got back in the car and pulled into the Drive thru and then had to quickly order because we had someone behind us right away. I ordered the Spicy Chicken meal combo and my wife got the Regular Chicken combo both came with Biscuits and potato wedges. Went to the window to pick up the food and again the server was very stern and very impatient. This is the only critical thing I can say about the restaurant because the food was solid. If you are in the area the chicken is worthwhile and the potato wedges are very good.
Chicken was good, pork chop was also good. Macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy was bland and tasted as they were instant at best. Peach cobbler is great.!
Chicken was great - especially the spicy wings and breast. 3 stars for the come slaw - prob because I like it tart and their's wasn't. But, like I said, the chicken was great :)
