the lemon water was the best thing I was served today. absolutely raggedy. over priced And employees added own tip to our check.
Ate there yesterday. I am currently sick today with food poisoning. ?My boyfriend’s and I first option was closed, so we went here to try it out. Lunch buffet is 11.99 and his soda was $2.50. I got a water.Honestly, the meat was super gross. Chicken was not good at all. It was either mushy or hard. The bourbon chicken tasted off. The seafood smell was STRONG which was alarming. Some of the food didn’t have tongs to serve yourself with. I pretty much ended up just eating the lo mein noodles.Everything just looked and felt dingy in there….chairs were covered in dirt, the floor really needed to be swept, some of the bars just had boxes sitting out with supplies in it, and it was so quiet besides when the lady would get on her microphone to say what they needed. You know even with the lady refilling stuff, the fresh food wasn’t even hot. It would be like lukewarm when you ate it. The pudding wasn’t really cold either so I think their buffets are having temperature control problems. The service was ok. One lady was super nice, and the rest were super rude or just seem like they didn’t care. They took our plates quickly at least, but the only one who offered a refill was the one lady who was super nice. For the price and me being sick today I wouldn’t go back ever again. Never been sick from the Chinese buffet In Richmond (my usual spot) or the Buffet by the Fayette Mall (my boyfriend’s pick). The food is always hot and a lot more variety at the Richmond one! Yeah
We normally love to eat here, but haven't been in a long time. Today we were excited to go again, but found the food was not as good, there was not near the selection they had in the past, the food didn't seem to be hot, and there were no crablegs. It was over $70, for 2 adults, a teenager and a child. I wouldn't even give it one star, every other time it was four or five star. I won't be back.
I thought the food was really good. Hot and fresh. Kept the food coming out, so that's a plus. My favorite was the whole shrimp! I could eat that all day. Prices were not too high, $16.99 per adult and can't remember how much for the kids but you also have to pay $1.99 per drink I believe. But like I said not bad prices. It also might be higher on the weekends (when I went with my family of 6) but the service was good as well. They asked to refill our drinks often and kept coming to pick up our empty plates afterwards, thankfully! But the only thing I didn't like was they added their own tip to our bill and expected us to pay that which btw we did only $9 but if they didn't put that on our bill at first and actually let us tip them; for 1 I would have gave them a better tip and for 2 they asked for another tip after they forced the first tip on our check?! Like seriously?! Come on that's kind of ridiculous if you ask me.. and that's exactly why I gave only a 4 star review.. but other than that it was a nice restaurant.
We enjoy the buffer which allows a sample of any dish new to us BEFORE we commit. Seating area is clean and convenient. We especially enjoyed the sushi selection .
My family likes coming here (probably because they feel like they’re getting a deal). It’s just so-so for me. I don’t particularly like buffet style restaurants.I saw a lot of complaints about the price which I thought was odd. In my opinion, under $10 for a lunch meal is good deal especially considering it is buffet. I’m not sure how much cheaper the price can go. It would have been the same price for regular Chinese lunch take out minus the variety and all you can eat. There was a decent selection of food. Mainly Asian fusion, Chinese take out style. There was some sushi (rolls and nigiri) and it was alright. They did not refill those station often at all. It was usually empty. The seaweed salad was strange, very different from a regular sushi place. I liked their egg roll and wings. Some of the staff came off as rude and pushy. Our waitress was nice though.
This is one of my favorite buffets. Dinner offers crab legs, and I've seen reviews where folks get miffed they don't come out fast enough. The price is good, and this is one of the rare buffets that offer those legs. They go fast because they are popular. The staff has always been friendly, sometimes a little slow when it's busy, which is understandable. Sushi, Sashimi, crawfish, and a variety of other seafood goodies.
I took my niece and friend there today to have lunch. The food was fresh and no complaints about the cleanliness. However, our server harassed us over leaving a tip (not to mention that the buffet was $16.99 for adults and $8.99 for kids) . If she didn’t see the money on the table she would repeatedly ask “tip on the table” and took my niece’s plate when she was clearly still eating. Me and my friend have been here before and picked this one because our first experience was amazing. After today we will not being going back or recommending this establishment.
Extremely expensive. Not many choices - because they were closing for the night in 1.5 hrs maybe?Clams were so spicy you couldn't taste anything but heat - what's the point? Another dish with onion, the onion was so salty, I couldn't even swallow it. The best food item was the sesame balls - light, flavorful and just gently sweet, not overpowering.Servers excellent and attentive which is what earned them the two star rating...not the food. One person and I paid over $18 (over $21 with tip) for food I didn't enjoy and some was inedible. I won't be returning, plenty of other restaurants to try in Lexington, KY.
This place was very well cleaned and everything was orderly. The service was average for most Chinese places, but the buffet was amazing. The selection was wide and the food was fresh. I will be going back next time I am passing by Lexington.
