$2 green tea shots, friendly owner and good appetizers.
My friend got the combo plate and I got the teriyaki. Both were a great portion of food. The combo plate is enough food to bring home leftovers. The service was pretty good, the server was on the phone so it took a little longer to get our check.
Visiting Lexington for the week from Cincinnati and sampling various restaurants.. this has been my favorite so far. Ordered takeout. The dumplings and poke bowl (salmon with added eel) were exceptional and traveled very well. Good sized portion without being overly expensive. Delicious.
Had a Dr appointment and wanted some sushi for lunch. Texted in an order for car side delivery. Not only was it hot and fresh the taste was amazing. My first time eating here but definitely not my last!
I just had my first experience and will be back for sure. I ordered the Tofu Poke Bowl for a scheduled pick up time, and was not disappointed. The moment I walked in (a few minutes early), my order was being finished. The serving portion was also perfect for a post-swim workout.
I had a unique experience here and that my car was blocked because I parked in a closer area that I shouldn't have. So I spent an afternoon and early evening there... until my granddaughter rescued me. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Going out to see if my car was available. The food, and I ordered lunch and dinner, was yummy.
We ordered a few sushi rolls and a side of lo mein. All was absolutely clean and delicious and the side of lo mein was big enough to be ordered alone. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
Really delicious at such an affordable price. The decor was so cute, it really put a smile on our faces. It was very clean and well lit. The hostess along with the staff were nice. I got the strawberry mojito which was sweet and refreshing. We appreciate the simpler menu with all the classic rolls and some fun ones. We also really like the sushi fries. It was a bed of sweet potato fries topped with kani salad; the flavors worked really well. I really liked the salmon poke bowl, it was a good sized portion. The prices really surprised us, it was not as expensive as many other places. We over ordered as per usual but we will definitely be back.
The veggies that came with my hibachi chicken remind me of the microwave steamer carrots and broccoli. I really wanted the classic hibachi veggies. I wish I’d gone to Hibachi Express :(
First time eating here. Got a bento with beef teriyaki. The beef itself was kind of tough, but tasted nice. The crab rangoon that comes with the bento was super, super sweet. They tasted overwhelmingly of cream cheese with very little crab flavor at all. It's also worth noting that, if you tip, I've been told that the tips go to the store and not to your server. As for what worked: The sushi, rice, spring rolls, salad, and everything was quite nice. Service was quick and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was nice. Very cute murals. They also have Japanese beer on tap.Tldr: Not the best Japanese food in town, but not bad. Worth a look if you're looking for a quick bite downtown. But, for a night out, I suggest driving a little ways to visit Osaka, instead.
