OMG! the best spot for lunch in Lexington!!

Great sandwiches! Had the Cuben & Chicken Cordon Bleu! Awesome! Will be back!???

For those unfamiliar with Dad’s, one could think - “What’s the big deal about this little hole in the wall restaurant? Why are all these people lined up out the door in a strip mall for a sandwich?” But make no mistake my friend, this isn’t just any ol’ sandwich shop. It has some of the best cheese spreads in Kentucky, or maybe even in the US - or the planet perhaps…it’s sooo good - just saying.Ordered the Smoky Pimento BLT for lunch (pictured here). A little slice of heaven - it did not disappoint. I recommend doubling the amount of pimento cheese though. Crazy good sandwich.

This is the best sandwich I have ever had!!! I came here today with my son who is a freshman at UK who raves about this place. The owners and every employee were some of the nicest people I have ever met! They explained the history, the process they go through to carefully craft every sandwich and recommendations! I had the number 3 but before I leave I have to go back for the Reuben. Thank you for a delicious meal and wonderful experience! Now please open one in Chicago!

Limited menu of premium sandwiches featuring homemade ingredients. Come early before they run out. (Does not offer build-your-own sandwiches.)

Wow I can’t get over how great this place is. Such a nice place to go eat, great environment & even Better food. The Mexican corn soup on Tuesday is the BOMB. The owner will come out & even Greet you & give you suggestions. I eat at the place every-time I can. Every single worker is so nice, gives samples, & does A really good job. I wish we had more places like this in Lexington I hope this place stays forever. (If you ever go get the #2 on a honey wheat roll) your #1 customer, Jackson. (Also this is a great place for a date)

I was driving through Lexington last Friday and had another hour and a half to get home. I was hungry and needed to stop and take a break from my long 5 Hour Dr. I did a search on my phone and this place came up. It’s an old strip center on Lane Allen Road with shared hallway with other businesses. Walked into the common area around 1pm and was shocked to see a line of about 20 people with and another 20 or so waiting for their orders or sitting at the tables in the space. As I was in line, Dad’s the owner was going down the line talking to people. We struck up a conversation and I was amazed to find out that he left corporate America in 2008. He started making cheese spreads in the basement to keep his mind off his son who was deployed in Afghanistan. Then his spreads were picked up by a National grocery store. He rented this space to make his spreads and his fellow tenants convinced him to make sandwiches. Instead of slices of cheese, he uses the cheese spreads, fresh made soups and deli sandwiches that are fantastic. A must try if you are in Lexington. Go early on Fridays for the BBQ special.

I've only been twice but it instantly became one of my favorites in Lexington. The sandwiches are delicious and the staff are the friendliest people you'll ever meet. The #4 asiago pot roast is amazing. If you live in Lexington and haven't tried them yet, you're missing out.

one of my most favorite places in Lexington. they have the best sandwiches. the best cheese spreads and the best soups. i’ve never had a soup from here I didn’t love. everyone that works here is so pleasant and the owner is so nice, so helpful, and so wholesome.

Passing through town and decided to eat here after looking for a deli. The Asiago Pot Roast sandwich was so good. Highly recommend that. Service was excellent.
