I don't remember the name of our server but she was the best server I've ever had in the industry! Other than that the food was really bland but the fries and steaks were pretty good. One of our guests really liked the chicken tenders here and the margaritas were nominal at best. Overall it isn't a phenomenal place to go for steak but it's close to home so at least we don't have to drive far. 6 out of 10 deportations only because they really need to up their flavor game and drink game if they wanna compete with other steak houses in the area.

Steak tips were excellent, but not exactly what I ordered. Our server was pretty good, but she was working lunch alone with customers in three dining rooms. Poor lady needed roller skates! I can honestly say the decor hasn't changed in 40 years. My wife said, "Neither have the clients!" In our 50's, we were by far the youngest couple there.

This place has been around for a while and you can definitely feel it. The service from when you step in the door to leaving was lacking. The decor is dated in a way that doesn't make it feel cool but old and in need of an update or a change. Food was average. They do offer a Lexington special, Lamb fries, if you want to give it a go.

Dear Greg,Please teach your cooks how rare steaks are prepared. It's an art, I know, and not every steak will be perfect each time. But, there's quite a difference in a rare prime rib and one that's ruined. (Otherwise known as well done.)And please try to engage a deeper bench in staffing. The people there are fine, just not enough of them! It's been a few decades since I've been there, so perhaps I'm misremembering the most delicious cut of beef in my life. I hope to recapture that exquisite experience again, hopefully while I'm still able!

First time eating at this restaurant tonight and I can say five stars is not enough. The food is phenomenal. The nighthawk special is so tender its hard to believe it's real. Appetizers and sides were spot on and I was sad I couldn't try them all. Now on to the servers. Ben is the server that every restaurant wishes they had. Personable, knowledgeable, and kind. Jason, another server, went out of his way to make the best appetizer I've ever had. Make sure to stop by and check this place out.

I have been coming here since I was a child. Have loved it every time until last night.I ordered the nighthawk.I ordered it medium. It came out rare and grisly. Couldn't even cut through it.I sent it back.Within seconds (???) another steak appears. It's over cooked and cold. The fries and butter are COLD.The manager came out and exclaimed with an attitude "it's not hot?!?l"Third steak comes out again within seconds. How they were cooking my steak that quickly is a good question. It was ? well done and didn't even taste like a nighthawk.I had to ask for this meat to be taken off my bill. The only thing I had to eat was the salad and left frustrated. Our waitress was good. Bless her heart. She said she had been dealing with problems in how the steaks were being cooked all day.I hope you can remedy your food. Otherwise a true treasure will be lost.

At 2:00 the place was a ghost town. The one waitress working did well to take our order. Appetizer was good, salad was gross, wilted, a little brown and unappetizing. Main entree was delicious. Just a lot of waiting. As far as I could see we were the only ones there so I’m unsure what all the waiting was for. The service was bad enough that I don’t plan to come back. The steak tips was good enough that I’d call in a to go order. Maybe without a salad though.

Me and my buddy ordered the 8 oz sirloin medium with sauteed mushrooms and onions. Had a big huge baked potato and a awesome salad with blue cheese. I enjoyed the meal and so did my friend but I ordered a West six IPA and a Kentucky ale which they didn't have so I got the Bourbon barrel ale and both were out of date. Overall, great place and will be back next time, but will order a cocktail or wine.

Columbia Steakhouse has its own vibe…which is a good thing. It’s neat indeed. Greeting most excellently by the hostess, Trina. Friendly and informative. I had no idea what the NightHawk was but she introduced me. Ordered the Shrimp Cocktail which was good. 8 large shrimp so it was worth the $11. They had a Hot Brown on the menu which I was so close to ordering. I opted for the T-Bone because the waitress said it’s really a 20oz steak. I thought wow..that’s me, so I just asked but the menu says 16ozs? She said that because the bone ways 4oz. I thought, I’m ordering that because that would be the biggest bone ever I’ve seen on a steak. When I got my 2nd refill I noticed something really weird and nasty on my glass, after I’d already drank it. When the 2nd glass came, the same thing. I attempted to speak to the manager who was 3 feet from me but after I said hello and asked if he was the manager, he said yep, something like that. Disappointed for sure, with no way to call the issue to his attention to be corrected for the next customer. The waitress apologized and no gave me some example of how it happened twice. Not impressed The T Bone arrived and I am Not even counting against my rating that my vegetable medley went to the floor about 15 feet away from arriving at my table. The steak was ok but the best item I was served was a tie between the shrimp and the two rolls. They were soft and tasted good no doubt. I normally always have desert, by I was done. This was my first time to ever be at this 75 year Lexington Tradition.

I was dining on a Saturday night and there was a sign on the door that said they were short on staff. I wasn't in a hurry so figured it wouldn't be an issue. There were 6 in our group. One had the ribeye medium well and said it was real good. We had lamb fries as an appetizer and they had an excellent breading and were hot. The white milk gravy that came with the lamb fries was old school and brought back good memories. 3 of our group had the nighthawk special and didn't say much one way or the other and honestly I didn't ask. I had the hamburger medium no cheese no extras. I just wanted to taste the burger without putting a bunch of other things on it. I think it is one of the best burgers I have had. It was very flavorful and the bun was great. The baked potatoes were not extra hot when they come out (short staff) and the butter certainly did not seem to be real butter. The salad was limp and overall was not impressed with it at all. I was given a tenderloin steak to sample which was a very nice thing by staff to do. It was cooked medium well so since I typically eat my steaks rare it was overcooked for me so not really fair to rate it because of temp preference but still appreciated the gesture. The rolls came out at the end of the meal. (short staff) Overall I like the place it felt like a very relaxed atmosphere but staff shortage was definitely a factor after all. The staff that was working was certainly trying to do their best. Our waitress was also working the bar. Menu prices are good although I thought the beer and wine prices were a bit high. With a full staff and a few tweaks it could be a real gem again. BTW first time here and drove 45 mins. I used to go to the Alexandria drive location years ago.
