This use to be a good place, to get fish, but the last two years they have gone down in their portions up there pricesI don't mind paying more, but give me the same amount inPortions. Makes sense!!I do ,and always said Charlie'sFish is over rated, they are better fish places in LEXINGTON.
Charlie's Seafood is a Lexington institution. Always clean, welcoming and delicious. They have great choices and it's made while you wait, so it's served hot and delicious in a to go box. Today I had the catfish sandwich, which really is more than enough fish for two sandwiches, with slaw which is the best, and fries which I asked for crispy and they were! My son got shrimp and loved them. I meant to take photos because it is also so very eye appealing, but I started snacking on the fries on my way home. My family has enjoyed Charlie's Seafood for many years; it's a family favorite.
The special here is the white fish sandwich, and they definitely know what they are doing. Easy to order, and only freshly made.
if you haven't tried Charlie's, shame on you. Your missing out. Best sea food around, fresh and hot ever time...
Absolutely the worst meal that I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. I ordered the white fish special dinner and paid $11.75. I received 3 skimpy lightly breaded pieces of fish that were totally bland (no flavor), crinkle cut french fries that were underfried and soggy, 1 small cup (homemade) cole slaw that was the worst I have ever tried to eat. This is the absolute worst meal I have ever received from any retail food establishment in Lexington. I totally wasted my hard earned money. I should have gone to Captain D's or Long John Silver's if I wanted a really good tasting meal with fish. I threw 90% of this meal in the trash. I would really like a refund of my money, however I know that is not going to happen. I highly DO NOT recommended this business. NEVER again will I grace their front door.
Nice takeout fish restaurant. To go only, no dining inside. Line went pretty quick. Not much parking in front, park on street.
Love the catfish/shrimp. They don't really do anything too special for the food besides it being fresh and it works out great. One time a customer before me had an issue with that before he tried the food, hopefully he had a good experience afterward.
Been years since I eaten there. Was more than delighted. After all these years, still the best fish sandwich in Lexington.
Nice family owned business prices are good. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star is the wait can be pretty daunting sometimes.
