We went to Bear Butcher for burger week in Lexington. The service and outside seating is great. Fun location. I had the Strawberry Lemonade Spritz to drink which was excellent. But I was disappointed with the burger week burger - Bat out of Hell - a meatloaf and mashed potatoes sandwich. Really just ok. No Flavor. My hubby had the regular Chevy Chase Burger and really liked it. Tots were really good and baked beans were different but good.
Stopped in for brunch with one goal... bloodies. We made a great decision! They have multiple to choose from, but we decided to go all out and get "the gargantua"It is certainly an over the top presentation. The house-made mix was pretty tasty, not overly spicy (which I prefer), but they topping that come with it we're incredible. Veggies, wings, melted sandwiches and more! The pitcher came out to be probably 4-6 drinks. For $50, we had plenty of drinks and were so full from the toppers that we didn't need to order any extra food. Would definitely recommend the gargantua if you're in the mood from an over the top brunch experience!
Always love this place.Pretzel and beer cheese is money.Wheat Ale is even better.Sit on the deck!
When they say the sewer in the Bloody Mary is loaded, they weren't kidding. What you can't see in the picture is that there are olives going down to the bottom of the glass. The bottomless mimosas are also good. I have had better brunch at other places, but it wasn't bad just more of a limited breakfast selection. The beignet was quite good. I was hoping for a more New Orleans look (don't know if taste is the same), but fried dough is almost always good especially with chocolate sauce.
After driving 11hrs into Lexington we were invited to this awesome place. Our group came from 4 different states and we all agreed that this was a perfect stop. All 6 of us had amazing entrees and sampled the beer choices. We’d highly recommend.!
Food was good, sat upstairs it was loud and temp fluctuated between extremes
Great food and fantastic service. We had our infant daughter out for a Mother’s Day brunch and our waiter Charles went above and beyond to warm her bottle up and take care of all 3 of us. We’ll definitely be back!
What's up everyone!!!It's Muhammad the food critic , Beer & The Butcher overall I had a really nice time. The ambiance was nice upstairs and downstairs TV's are everywhere. I had the Cod fish sandwich and tater tots, My meal was $18.00 but my fish wasn't that spectacular nothing negative but it wasn't a large portion size of fish. That was truly my only problem , other than that Iike my cocktail the slushy alcohol mix ?....So if you're on UK campus check them out....
Brooke and Ariele are 10000/10. I have been here 2x and the staff are amazing. There was a line at 11 to enter but it was worth the wait! The food was great and bottomless mimosas were fantastic.
We had the cheesesteak, hand cut fries and Fish and tots. The food was excellent and the service was great!! Will definitely be back when visiting the area.
