Our group of 9 people waited over an hour for our food while large to-go orders and smaller tables (seated after us) received their food.Curry was watery and diluted.Holy kale was the only dish that everyone agreed tasted solid.Disappointed.
Food was great and would come again for this. Wasn’t busy and was seated right away.Took a while for waitress to get to me, 15 mins. And no one came back to check up or refill water.Other than that food like I said was great.4/7 Returned to try a different dish. Enjoyed the golden cashew with chicken, side of steamed veg and side of jasmine rice. Flavorful but would have liked a little more of the jelly sauce in the dish. The Thai tea is good.Desert was good.No change in service from first visit and was the same waitress. Not military appreciative.Nice to come back for second meal, however this remains a 4 star rating.
This past weekend, Fat Man Reviews stopped at Archa Nine Thai Kitchen in Lexington, KY. Archa is an easygoing spot offering Thai street food.I ordered a Sake Sunrise. This is made with Sake, orange juice and sparkling wine. All I could taste was carbonation, the Sake came through at the bottom of the glass with a sweet plum taste. We tried the Taro Rolls, Chicken Satay and Pot Stickers. The Taro is fried spring roll stuffed with prawns and sweet taro. These were crispy fried, the filling was sweet with a slight spice, it reminded me of an under cooked pancake and the taste of a funnel cake. The Satay is made with turmeric-marinated chicken, coconut milk, cumin, Thai aromatic spices with a spicy peanut sauce. The chicken was fragrant, sweet but a little dry. The peanut sauce has a nice heat finish. The Pot stickers were Pan-fried dumplings filled pork and a soy and vinegar sauce. They had a good fry, but the pork was under seasoned. The sauce was tangy.I tried the Tom Yum soup made with lemongrass, galangal, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, lime leaves, lime juice, and cilantro( chicken with medium spice). The soup smelled amazing, and the broth was devine, great sour taste with lime and ginger. Vegetables were all cooked well, but there is sliced bay leaf and galangal in the soup, they are bitter and hard to chew.My fiancé tried the Cashew Chicken made with choice meat(chicken, mild spice), bell peppers, onions, roasted cashew nuts, and Thai sweet chili jam. The chicken was breaded and fried perfect it was very sweet and tasty. The vegetables were cooked well and plentiful.I had the Duck Curry made with roast duck, red curry(served medium with rice) pineapples, carrots, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, and fresh basil leaves. The duck was roasted well and flavorful. The vegetables had a slight crunch adding texture. The curry is very sweet, the rice was a little over, slightly mushy.Archa serves several Thai dishes with various meat or vegan with tofu. The service was good. I would recommend ordering a spice level higher than normal as every dish was really sweet. The Fat Man says that Archa Nine Thai Kitchen is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.
Excellent food and friendly staff. I met my aunt here for lunch on a Friday and was seated immediately. Waters, an appetizer, and our food came out quickly. We got the spring rolls and I ordered the chicken Pad Thai, they were delicious. Highly recommend this place for a cute date and great service.
Good food. Spring rolls were good, Garlic lover was good. Thai tea reminds me of my childhood when I used to drink coffee creamer. Waitress was very kind, offered her opinions when I asked and I was not disappointed.
My daughter found this for her birthday. It was fabulous!! Very friendly and clean. There were 7 of us and from appetizers; pot stickers and chicken satay to our entrees. So glad she saw this on another's FB page!
Archa Nine never fails to disappoint in both quality and quantity for price. Despite not noting it on their menu, most dishes can be made gluten free (there are a few that cannot) which was a hit with my mother in law!
I have driven past Archa 9 several times and never considered stopping in. Finally decided to give it a try and I was blown away. The service was incredible! My drink never went below half glass, that is 100% in my book. Then the food came…WOW! You want authentic Thai, this is the place for you.
This was a very good , tasty and healthy option for our overnight stop in Lexington. We stayed in the I-75 /Man o War area but this was an east trip. As it was high Omicron timeframe we got take out. I had the Lemongrass chicken. Delicious! My husband had the cashew chicken… good flavor but not as much of a reco (a little dry). Looking forward to eating their delicious food again in our next stopover through town
Awesome place to eat!! The food is delicious and the ambience of the place is great.. The waitress was amazing and soo sweet and helpful!!!
