The price is amazing and I was impressed with the lady was making our food her attitude was pure positive. Every time I come to Lexington this will be my place to come grab a plate.
Had a pleasant experience. Heard of this place for long, but being originally from the motherland, I was afraid. I am blessed I went and tried. The food was amazingly delicious just like my grandmothers cooking. The oxtails fell off the bone and was so delicious, the curry got was better. The young lady at the counter was exceptionally amazing.Will definitely return and highly recommend this place to everyone to try
Ok being half African and Caribbean I was extremely disappointed in what I ordered yesterday. The food was no where close to being authentic at least when it comes to flavor, taste, and look. If you're looking for oxtail and jerk chicken in name go ahead try it but it's legit not the real thing. I know I grew up in a African and Caribbean household. Oxtail wasn't cook right and jerk chicken had no effort whatsoever. Like they bake the chicken and just throw the sauce on it. Extremely disappointed because I've been looking for a place that cook like home for a minute. Save yoy money y'all.
I absolutely love this place. The owner is such a sweetie. And so is the rest of the family. I have to be really careful, because I would probably eat their daily? The food is delicious and she gives a nice portion??????❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am sooooo disappointed spent $41 on doordash I ordered oxtail stew with white rice Goat meet with sauce and fufu I only got 4 oxtails that where the size of my pinky barely any sauce also ordered goat meat with sauce I literally got 3 pieces of meat barely any sauce and the Fufu tasted like instant mashed potatoes NOT FLOUR so basically I paid $41 for white rice Instant potatoes potatoes and fragments fragments/sprinkles of meat I will NEVER order from this place again! Save or spend your money at a different establishments that takes their customers and food seriously because this definitely aint.
With the cost of the price of oxtail I’m surprised of the amount of oxtail they gave. The food was very tasty and for a good price as well. Will be coming back here soon.
The food here was disgusting. It was not even real African food. Jollof rice was undercooked. Peanut butter soup was way too thick and was more oil and peanut butter than anything. The goat meat was tough. The oxtail and red beans and rice was Bland. I will never go back to that place again information point
I found my new favorite food & place to eat. I got the PB sauce with chicken, white rice, corn fufu(gonna get the yam kind next time) & fried plantains. The PB sauce is kinda spicy & I got the mild. I can usually handle heat really well, after a few bites wasn't too bad though. The flavor was omg good. The lady that gave me my order was a total sweetie & kinda helped me out since I'd never had anything like what I'd ordered. If you get the PB sauce (ground nut root I think it's called) make sure you get it & the rice separately so you can dip the fufu. It's VERY filling. Barely ate anything & I was full. I could just about live off of this stuff
Fantastic food, the jollof rice is like a mixture of Nigeria and Ghana.
