Things are looking up under the new management. Although you have to order at Kiosks now, we received our food (which was hot and tasty) in under 5 minutes. The restaurant is definitely cleaner and tidier and appears to be well-staffed. Still good prices and we will definitely be back. Looks like the Fry seasonings and free kids meals on weekends are gone, but it's not a deal-breaker. We're glad you can finally eat inside again.
Was very happy with service, food and store cleanliness today. Prices were reasonable too! Will go back.
I wanted to give the new owners a fair shot. Ordered 3 times since they reopened. All 3 times the carry out order was wrong or missing items. Fries are being served in red solo cups, milkshake cup literally filled half way ($6 milk shake). I won’t return.
When we first walked in, I noticed that all of the tables were really dirty. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was around 1:30 and I assumed that they just got through with a lunch rush. I asked if we could get our order to go or if they could clean a table, and they said they would clean a table. After this, one of the cooks came out, looked at our table, and started laughing. Again, benefit of the doubt Maybe they weren't laughing at us. While our food was being prepared, one of the workers took a lid and ketchup packs that had been sitting on one of the dirty tables and restocked it. I guess I could understand the ketchup packs? But definitely not 1 lid, considering that's in direct contact with your beverage. After finally receiving the food, the trays were still wet but yet they had crumbs and sauce on them from the prior person still. The burgers were extremely soggy on the bottom. I know burgers can be greasy but the bottom buns were like they had been soaked in water. Some of the fries were mysteriously wet and cold. The lettuce that was placed on the burger should have been culled and disposed of a day prior, at minimum. The ketchup that they were using on the burgers had an almost rancid taste. The syrup to water mixture ratio in the fountain seemed to be off as well, which was actually pretty minor compared to all of the other things. My wife asked to speak with a manager, telling her our experience, and they did not offer to refund or replace the food, or address any of our concerns. I had some money left on a gift card which I gave to another customer upon leaving, because we will not be returning.
Great service and most often order as placed and fresh. Burgers much more tasty than MacDonalds. Drive through very convenient and moves well.

Way different now, no more wait staff, you order from a touch screen. It made for much faster service when getting your food. The only downside is that they don't have those cool soda fountain glasses for your milkshake any more. All in all still a great experience.
This was one of the cleanest, fastest and friendly Steak 'n Shake I've ever seen. One of the owners of the franchise even came out to greet me when it must have appeared that the new Kiosks were unfamiliar. He explained the new setup and I have to say it sure made things easy. Our meals, all 8 of them were ready in no time and they were hot and tasty for all. Kudos to the staff in the back. Next time we're in town we'll be back.
We all know steak and shake is a low budget eatery. Sure they used to be good back in the day- not by much, but still it would hit the spot.As I sit here and write this review, one thing comes to mind…. Why is this establishment so lackluster? But yet I say enough rambling let’s get down to it.This review is solely about that nasty, stomach-turning, excuse for chili- I.e chili mac.Please remove it from your menu because it is horrible. I thought your food couldn’t possibly get any worse. I was sadly mistaken. I wouldn’t even serve it too my fur friends and they’ll eat anything.If you want real chili hit up gold star or Wendy’s. If I could give it no stars I would. I’m totally disgusted and my day is ruined. ThanksP.s the shakes are the only thing you got going!!!
Got excited because I saw there is new management and decided to give it a try this evening and was disappointed. The burgers were not fresh, the fries were very cold and very very very salty, couldn't even eat those. I gave it 2 stars because the service was fast.
