When you think of a local diner, this is what you expect. Busy at lunchtime with lots of locals talking about the weather and such. Super friendly and talkative waitresses. A must have is the Cliffside cheeseburger!!! Do not come here looking for vegetarian fare?. Good food and plenty of it!
The people, atmosphere, food, and workers are all collectively 5 stars. Despite being from out of town, i was made to feel like a local here, and i can’t even begin to describe the food. Amazing. i love this place. any next time i come to kentucky, i’m bringing all of my friends:)
Everybody's nailing it. This diner is fantastic. Good service and great food. 80% locals, and we were happy to have been tourists who happened to find Cliffside.
Would have loved to eat here! The reviews seemed great, and I was excited for my family and I to try a local place while visiting frankfort. It was 35 degrees outside, had my 3 young girls waiting to go in (we arrived 1 minute before opening), when 2 lady's unlocked the door and walked out stating they would open in 5 minutes and proceeded to walk to their cars to take a smoke break. A very unwelcome and kinda gross greeting. We left. I will never eat here and I will not recommend this establishment.
Looking for something local and not fast food, this is your place. The pie, especially chocolate is among the best I have ever eaten.
This little hidden diner tucked behind the Capitol of Kentucky has incredible burgers, cheesesteaks, hot browns , beans and cornbread and many other favorite comfort foods. Known for their delicious burgers but on this trip we had a hot brown and an open face roast beef. Taters, green beans, bean soup and corn bread. Loved every bite of it! The place is a small diner with very limited seating, some booths and counter seating. Groups over 4 might find it hard to sit together unless at the bar. The staff was friendly. Parking is right in the curb on a cliff so be very careful when pulling out. I highly recommend getting a bite there when I’m Frankfort.
I've driven past this place many times and never stopped. We finally stopped in and were glad we did. Good food and good service. What else could you want.
The staff is always very friendly and helpful. And, the food is always delicious. I've never had a bad meal there. The pie is outstanding!
Just what I was looking for!They were out of biscuits, but I’ll be back sometime.
Had a great experience with our server Renee and the staff. Had a quick lunch before a drivers test and my son and I both enjoyed the sandwiches.
