Steak N Shake is not how I remembered it. There is a self serve kiosk to order and pay from. First observation was only one other table of people sitting in the restaurant and every other table was dirty. The bus tubs and trash were overflowing as well. As soon as we received our food, the fries were cold so we had to ask for fresh fries. The cook was on his phone on the line and I had to say excuse me 3 times to get his attention to ask for fresh fries. It did appear that only 3 employees were there at the time and when we left we had to unlock the doors to get out and noticed there was a sign that they had closed the dining room due to short staff.
Poor management!! The floors are absolutely disgusting! Have been waiting on food for a table of 4 for over 30 minutes! Not one person has even swept, wiped down a table or any area. Saturday night I get it but this is disgusting and over 40 minutes for burgers, I use to like this place, may not ever be back! 1 hour for 4 burgers!
Always tasty and consistent except the fries could have been hotter
One of the best fast food places I've ever eaten at. after ordering, my food was ready surprisingly fast & it tasted great. The shakes come in tall classic shake glasses, and never disappoint. The kiosks they have for you to order at are crazy convenient to avoid waiting or talking over AC/Other noises and clearly have everything on the menu displayed.
I order 2 plain double cheeseburgers and fries I got 2 double cheese burgers that weren’t plain and uncooked fries how do you mess up a plain burger with only cheese and fries? Really uncooked fires ? Do better . But the manager Teresa whenI called was very nice & gave me a credit so thank Teresa , but the other employees need to be trained better but the new look is great & it was clean inside

Steak and shake's new kiosk system is a ton faster, no more waiting to be seated, and order. Someone needs a bonus for bringing steak and shake back better.
So I just went thru the drive thru here and a man named Jack was the drive thru person. As I placed my order he was very patient, since I don't know what I wanted. Then when I placed my order after telling him what I was looking for, he said no I think u want this. He was very pleasant and helpful. So when I got to the window I asked him if he was a manager and if course he said yes. If he wouldn't have been, I would've asked for the manager to tell them what a fine job that man was doing. It's hard to find such nice people working in a drive thru these days. Jack keep up the GREAT WORK!! Thank you for making my day
They close at 10pm and I arrived at 935pm. Grateful they were able to make a shake for me. Fries were a bit cold but other than that, glad to see them back in service.
