June 5 2022. OMG! The food was delicious, it was crispy, fresh, and juicy! They remolded the bathrooms, changed out the carpet, and re-painted the walls! We had no problems, and the service and quality was amazing! The waiters were friendly, understandable, and neat! Our table was clean, and so was our dishes! We had no waits. The process of getting in and paying and leaving was extremely fast! It was only 30$ for us 3! If your looking for a good Chinese buffet in Florence, Kentucky then this is the place for you!
I’m giving this place 1 star because the waitress was nice. The food was greasy, bland, and tasted like it had been reheated. The server refilling the pans wasn’t fooling nobody, at least not me! If you like Chinese food this place is not it. If you like wasting money and don’t care what your food tastes like this place is it. A Chinese buffet is a good concept. Whomever is running this place needs to go back to the drawing board.
Everything felt like it was sitting under a heat lamp for years. The donuts didn't even look right. I always eat the donuts from every Chinese buffet. I did not choose to eat these. I tried the sushi, maybe I should not have. It's hard to say. But the quality of the food aside from the sushi bar was enough to tell me this place was not worth going to again. Pretty decor, terrible food. I would have been happier making tuna salad at home to be honest. Most of the items are either mislabeled or have no label to identify what you are about to eat. This is a very big problem with people with allergies. If something says kung pao chicken and ends up being cashew chicken, it could send someone to the hospital. They definitely need a new head chef and retrain their cooks. It was a plus for me though that I could see the sushi being made fresh. But how fresh are the ingredients they are making it with? I'm not sure. I think Gordon Ramsay needs to step in and rehab this entire kitchen and kitchen staff to be honest-- Or just convince them that if they can't do it right just shut down. Hands down the worst Chinese I've ever had. I'm glad dragon City just opened up. That is true quality with a great price.
I took my mom to lunch at china city buffet and they charge dinner prices for lunch when it clearly says $9.99 for lunch and because it's mother's day they increased the price to dinner prices. I cannot believe these people would so that to people. I wiil not go back here again. If i could do a 0 star i would. I do not recommend on mother's day
Horrible food, filthy restaurant. Food never at correct temp and sometimes undercooked. The vegetable oil they use to cook is overused and will have a high carcinogen rate that can make you nauseated and sick. It isn't just this establishment that I am red flagging but almost all Chinese buffets in the Tri-State area, it seems to be what's trending anymore.Do not sacrifice your health and well being for the convenience of variety.
Edit, okay after seeing more good reviews pop up on my feed I had to provide this edit for those that are saying this is good food you folks need to go to a real restaurant like Cathay Kitchen on Mall Road then you will know what good Chinese tastes like. And what it is to be in a clean restaurant with friendly staff. I just can't believe anybody thanks the slop at China City is good food and it's worth $30 for a couple . And the staff barely acknowledged we existed they pointed at a table walked by and picked up plates one time and gave us a bill . The place is dirty the food and buffets are a mess if this is what the front of the restaurant looks like I can't even imagine the condition of the kitchen. I don't know these folks and have nothing against them personally but if you are looking for good Chinese food and Sushi this is not the place.Always looking for a good Chinese buffet since they're so hard to come by these days and somebody on Facebook recommended this place. Tonight was a Saturday night and they were busy so you think the food would be fresh but it was anything but. It was pretty much unedible. All the chicken was mush like it has been sitting out all day which means it was probably sitting in the back already prepared most of the day. For thirty bucks we spent there we could have had a couple of nice small steaks at Texas Roadhouse. I feel like I was ripped off.
The food here is very good as is the service. However I would love to see snow crab or any kind of real crab legs on the buffet.
They have the most amazing food there and the atmosphere is great too take the family out to dinner there.i enjoy going to eat there
Over all had a great time with the family. Food was hot and yummy. Loved the Sushi.
I've been coming here for years, I'm never disappointed. Lunch time is the best time to come! The staff is super friendly and the green beans and crab raggoons and rice noodles are my absolute fave!
