Don't let the old strip mall fool you. Mac & cheese was on point. Green beans are good. I had a meat combo. My wife had a brisket sandwich plate. Brisket was a little fatty for us but flavors were good. My chicken was the best of my 3 meats with pork being 3rd place. Sadly the ribs weren't done smoking, so we're coming back for them one day.
First time visitor today. The food was very good and friendly staff. We will definitely return.
Most of the food was good except the ribs. The ribs were quite tough. I couldn’t hardly chew nor get them off the bone. I ordered a platter. I don’t like to complain while I am eating, basically cause I don’t want to seem like a Karen. The brisket was good, but I got a very small portion of it. And I mean extremely small. If I eat here again it will be solely for the brisket alone.
I'm gonna say that I like the place - good vibe, nice people, outdoor seating and entertainment! But being out of ribs at 6pm was a bummer. Also the fall back choices were pretty limited. The beer and wine list needs to be upgraded too. You don't need to go crazy but have a few IPAs and white wines in the cooler. Definitely stop if you are looking for some simple grub, a bucket of beer and a little corn hole. For top notch BBQ you may need to go elsewhere.

Every time I go to Pappaw's, I think I'll try something different off the menu, but the pulled pork is just too good not to order. Best pulled pork I've had in years. Prices are so reasonable, too.
We visited for our first time on a Sunday. They have a buffet including some breakfast and lunch items. The chicken and brisket were fantastic. I didn't try the pork but it looked equally as good. The slaw was great. Just the way I love it...creamy and sweet. However, the fried potatoes and green beans were ice cold making them less than desirable to eat. They did bring out more later which were warmer. I'd like to return when you can order from the menu. Suspect this 3 star would turn into a 5 star. Friendly staff.
Season potatoes were over baked. Pulled chicken sandwich was good. Pulled pork had some over done pieces. Mac & Cheese and fries were good.Staff was friendly and place was clean.
The food is scrumptious! Down home cooking at its finest! The BBQ is slap your mama good! Great atmosphere and great service! What more can you ask for?
