wonderful food and wonderful place. chips weren’t pictured here but they were really crispy and the sauces are in this pic (we got to try all three!) and they were so tasty!!! ranging from sweet to spicy, it was such a surprise with each bite. both my friend and i got the campechano tacos and they were so delicious. super juicy and flavorful.we also got sopes but we were so hungry that we ate them all before we thought to take a pic. overall, great experience!
Got some lunch here that was pretty solid. The food itself was delicious. I got the burrito which was very filling. One of my friends got the shrimp tacos which actually had huge portions on them and looked really good. The atmosphere was fun. Very clean and and good amount of tables. Only downside was the price. Just a little too expensive for what it was in my mind. Not too bad though.
My wife and I stopped in for dinner and were blown away by this place! The food was amazing, service was excellent, and the variety of cocktails and tequila was fantastic. We are both vegetarian and the had several appetizers, tacos, and sopes on the menu that fit our diet. We ordered the queso, which was extremely flavorful and came with grilled peppers and fresh chips. Our main course was the hibiscus flower tacos and vegetable sopes. Both plates were loaded with colorful, flavourful food. The hibiscus tacos reminded me of a carnitas taco and was an excellent vegetarian option. The vegetable sopes were loaded with black beans, grilled veggies, and fresh toppings. This place will definitely be on our list of places to frequent and we look forward to returning with friends and family to share in this local gem.
Went here on a whim and was not disappointed. Food quality and selection was phenomenal, including good options for vegetarian eaters. Great low key atmosphere. Tequila/mezcal selection was outstanding - better than many local liquor stores. Will 100% be back!
Decent food, but the menu online is not accurate what so ever. I paid $16 for 3 tacos…. 3 hibiscus flower tacos not the impossible tacos on the website. The margaritas are descent, but they only come in the house flavor. The sides are a la cart, so it only makes them worth it if you have two or more people. Each side we had( rice and beans) , is enough, or maybe even a little too much, for one person. We had the tres leches cake, and it was not tres leches. It was no condensed milk flavor. It was a play on birthday cake with a crunchy middle that neither my friend or myself appreciated too much… service was good.
Tacos and other items weren't bad, but on a block with 5 other Mexican restaurants, there was nothing that made this place stand out. Priced above the surrounding taquerias - there is no reason to visit Zapata in particular
Zapata always has fantastic service and even better tacos! The Manager and/or Owner, Alex, is always a pleasure to speak with and has even provided a sample or two Also has the best shrimp taco and yuca fries in the surrounding area- highly recommend!
Great atmosphere and very very clean. The frozen margaritas were delicious and I would highly recommend. We ordered the tacos and they were also great. Service was quick and easy.
Tacos were fantastic! The fried shrimp was a champion.
Was ok if you like fancy tacos...
