The best quiche I have ever had! Lovely staff, great environment
Hidden behind the façade of a simple convenience shop, Spoon delivers what we shall consider the modern experience of a perfect, upscale corner store. Ready with lunch and brunch until EOD, the limited menu can be enjoyed freshly made-to-order or prepped for a prepackaged grab-n-go. We had the Mediterranean bowl, salad style, which can be described as a fragrant and flavorful exploration of Mediterranean staples including olives, tomatoes, cucs, and hummus, complimented with a tangy Greek dressing. We also had the Braised Beef Grilled Cheese which was swiftly grilled to a melty perfection, stacked high with shredded beef and classic cheddar cheese. This seemingly simple concept of a melted ‘wich is rocketed to the next level with Spoon’s remarkable onion jam. This was served with a hearty helping of Curry Orzo Salad offering a sweet, soft, and savory side that played rather nicely with the braised beef. With a S. Pellegrino, bag of Red Wine Vinegar Hen of the Woods chips, complimentary glass bottle of water and heaping pile of premade rice crispy treats we found at the front door, our meal was complete. The quick-stop store side of the shop is kept simple. Clean, white coolers of casual but bougie convenience can be found lining the back wall or islanding in the center of the left side of the room – all items listed at the non-bougiest of prices. Overall, the store itself offers an ambiance perfectly lit for a sunny afternoon offsite office, lunch gathering, or an airy, happy place to pick up a bottle of wine of your way home.
We have been coming here for a while to get our coffee and breakfast fix. It just occurred to me to write a review after getting their banana bread with espresso glaze. One of the absolute best breakfast things I have ever had. Please make this a staple!
Had brunch here the other day. Amazing atmosphere and great food. Had the breakfast burrito. Extraordinary! The staff was super friendly. 100% recommend.
I dined in for dinner and ordered the charcuterie board to start with. The amount of meat/cheese give was honestly pathetic and my friends and I joked about how bad it was. The flat bread was good at least. Overall it was just ok.. just don’t order the charcuterie!
Seriously the best cafe I have been to in the greater Cincinnati area! I know it's in Kentucky, but it's bordering Cincinnati. It's classy and authentic and clean! Ever since moving to Cincinnati, I noticed restaurants are not great keeping clean with wiping down tables, chairs, and floors. They are dirty, smelly and have sticky floors. I'm from Chicago so I have very high standards with restaurant etiquette. This cafe/cute market is 100% approved. I also eat gluten-free and dairy free so this cafe is very accommodating and this makes me so happy. I love how they have a variety of of bakery options! Also, the presentation of the baked goods is phenomenal, high-end and high-quality. I look forward to coming again!
Hands down the best value in Covington- craft menu with farm to table ingredients at a reasonable price!
Wow! Just wow!Great aesthetic (see pic of the living wall), delicious coffee and baked goods. Our party had an iced latte, hot latte, and pumpkin scone. All were above and beyond our expectations. Although I didn't make any market purchases this time, I'm thrilled that they feature local and healthy options.**Gluten free and vegan bakery items are also available**
I have ordered take out for a quick dinner a handful of times recently. All of the bowls and sandwiches have been delicious!
The bowls are fresh and tasty. Sides are flavorful. Service is on point. All around awesome experience. Bravo!!Side note: there is a large dining area inside as well as outdoor tables. Also great for takeout. Again, incredible service.
