I used to love this place and go here every other week Pre COVID, but after tonight, I'll never return. First, the old Frida's way was if you wanted to eat outside, you grabbed a table and walked up to the window to order. I assumed things were the same and sat at a 4 seat table with my date, and was told that we needed to "move to a two seat table because we are going to get busy soon". We happily moved but, they never got busy. The margaritas were warm and heavy with sour mix. The food was extremely salty and spicy. But the worst part was the lack of professionalism from the manager. I won't go into the boring details but he was very aggressive and confrontational. He towered over me while interrogating me about my dissatisfaction of the food and drinks. I was completely caught off guard because I've never been treated this way in my life, let alone at a professional establishment. I will say that they did comp the meal and our server, who was 2 weeks new, was very kind. The chips, salsa, and guacamole didn't disappoint either. Needless to say, Frida Kahlo would be ashamed to be linked to this place. Please, do better.

As a table we started with the queso because my friends thought it like it. The queso here is absolutely fantastic. Best I've ever had and if you've ever read any of my other reviews you know I take my cheese VERY seriously. Also had a fish taco and a shrimp taco. They were ok. The tortillas were chewy and frankly, not good. The stuffing wherein was delicious. After those taco I ordered another round of queso just for myself. No draft beer here (bummer). Dessert selection lacking (also, bummer).

Fun establishment! Great atmosphere! Nolan is THE BEST!!! Such a great young man. He made our visit there AMAZING!!Try the frozen Cucumber Watermelon Margarita! It is so tasty!!

The bartender Andrew is very sociable, welcoming, and kind, as well as the other staff. Our first time visiting he was very welcoming and outgoing. Will visit again! When repeatedly negatively questioned by a customer at the bar regarding their “gender neutral bathrooms”, the staff handled the situation with complete poise and composition. FYI, the bathrooms are very clean and the establishment is wonderful.

First time here and it was a great experience. My bartender Andrew did an amazing job making me feel comfortable. There was an encounter with a very rude male customer who wasn’t fond of the gender neutral but Andrew did an amazing job handling the situation well, will definitely come back!

Frida 602 is really really good. Affordable prices, great atmosphere (especially during warm weather), and pretty good service. I've been a couple of times and I'm always pleased but am never blown away.Pros: Tacos are amazing, especially the Brussels sproutand the Fish tacos. Margaritas are fire. Queso comes in cast iron pans and is delicious each time.Cons: I wish The Oaxacan Chicken Sandwich was on higher quality bread, and the Enchiladas presentation could be stronger. I also wish the tacos given the size were $4 instead of $5. It takes 3 to fill most people and $12 vs $15 feels significant when it comes to tacos.Overall, you won't be disappointed coming here. It is a staple in the neighborhood!

Pretty sub-par experience. Drinks are fine, food is well below average but the server was pretty good. Only would recommend if you are drinking beer and having salsa and chips.

The service was excellent.

Very impressed. Sat at bar waiting for table. Bar tender very helpful and enthusiastic, gave great, knowledgeable recommendations. Food was excellent, and beyond the standard mexican fare. Great feel to the place.

Had the pozole, which was a large portion! Great for cold winter nights. The Brussels sprouts taco is delicious because they really roast the sprouts with a char, and add pepitas for texture. Also had the short rib empanada. The shell was a bit too thick but it was tasty with the chimichurri sauce.Service was quick & friendly!
