Would go there again. Nice interior, friendly service.
Food was good, but typical Mexican, though there is a lot of seafood on menu including octopus. Server was friendly, made suggestions, and was helpful with substitutions. The place was nice and clean, but the atmosphere, though decorative, gave off a cafeteria vibe. All the parts are great, but as a whole it didn't come together. If you aren't going for atmosphere, just good Mexican food, by all means go. Oh, and drinks were very well made.
I took my wife and adult daughter there for dinner. 5/5/2022 The waitress was wonderful. The food was not. I found it overpriced and way too salty. My enchiladas were salty and dry. The sauce was obviously from a can. The tortillas were undercooked and had very little cheese. When I asked for more than a sprinkle of cheese they took it back and drowned it in a liquid cheese and same canned sauce. i tried my wife's chicken fajitas and they were salty and dry. :(
Mexican restaurant with great seafood! Restaurant is super clean and the interior has great designs all around with small touches that make you go wow. Staff was helpful and friendly. Food came out fast and menu had lots of offerings with many seafood specialties. I had the stuffed fish with "crab", shrimp, scallops, and octopus with the mushroom sauce! Plate was super large and was presented gorgeously. I would go back for sure but know that prices can be high for some of the seafood dinners so be ready.
Mariscos Mi Pueblo Viejo Mexican Seafood Grill & Bar is located on the corner of Nashville Rd. and Storey Rd.The ambiance, service, and food is amazing. Alisha, our waitress shared with us the history of the restaurant and made great recommendations. We started with the Bean dip as a appetizer and our main dish was Tierra Firme Jalisco and Taco Salad. Both main dishes were very good with nice sized portions. We had to get to-go boxes. Alisha suggested the Fried Ice Cream for dessert! We ate it all!The furniture is all sourced from Arandas, Jalisco Mexico and each painting on the chairs and booths are “hand painted” and every painting is different!I highly recommend Mariscos Mi Pueblo Viejo Mexican Seafood Grill & Bar. They are open for lunch and dinner and they even had a patio. I give them 5 stars!
Shrimp empanadas, delicious. Fresh chips, I had burrito del Mar. Delicious. The inside is very clean and very comfortable. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
Awesome food, service and food. Can’t wait to go back!
Nice restaurant. The details on the decor was really nice. The facility itself was clean and we'll maintained. The service was fast and professional. The food was good. The guacamole casero was more like guac and pico... Its a personal preferences to have less mashed avocados... It was still good. If I am in bowling green again and needed Mexican I wouldn't oppose to eating there but was not able to try the others for comparison.
This place seems to have a lot of potential so I don't want this review to sound harsh.Positives: Attentive servers that were very accommodating for our group of 8 (including two toddlers, a baby, and someone with dietary restrictions). A couple minor miscommunications but otherwise very friendly and understandingNeeds Improvement:I'm going to sound like Gordon Ramsay for a second so bear with mePick a smaller menu and do it well. It's a Mexican Seafood restaurant but the Shrimp tasted like it was frozen and/or overcooked and there were 2 pages of specials, 2 pages of specific seafood dishes, and at least 4 more of normal Mexican dishes (including shrimp)Also the seafood prices seemed outrageous for a restaurant almost as far from the coast as you can get (can't possibly be fresh all the time). Saw half a page of dishes for over 50$ apiece!Would love to see the menu paired down cause the food otherwise was pretty good!
Great menu selection and food was delicious. Our server was really nice.
