We had not been here for a while. So took our three grandsons for a lunch outing. It was noon but they wanted breakfast, what a great time to visit. The CB was very full but service was right on and fast. The boys 14,12,10 each ordered their b-fast and consumed it completely. I had the meatloaf, mashed pots ,carrots and biscuits with brown gravy. My wife had a special with chicken/cheesy/broccoli, with fried apples, and hash brown casserole and biscuits, All five totally enjoyed their meal.
The wait was very long. The service was great we had a group of 10 and our server was awesome. I got meatloaf and was disappointed it was dry and all I could taste was the peppers. I love meatloaf I know not to order it again.
We didn't want to pull through a fast food place on our trip, so we chose Cracker Barrel. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately and waited on soon too. My husband ordered a breakfast, I think called The Sampler and I ordered the 4 sides dish. All the food was tasty and we received our plates quickly, in spite of the restaurant being busy. It was a pleasant stop and we smiled at the end.
We were at a near by hotel and picked up a To-Go order to eat in our room. The 2 Chef Salads we had ordered had NO meat on them when I checked the order at the restaurant. Had to wait while they went and found the rest of our meal. How do you make a chef salad with NO meat???
I'm never disappointed when i get there and i love my peach tea.
The food never disappoints me, I always get a steak and it is cooked exactly how I ordered it.
We had a window seat and I enjoyed the view. When power went out for a few minutes. The staff and everyone kept there cool. Lanterns were lit. We thankfully had already put in our order and so it still came out pretty fast. Food was good.
Nostalgia, quality food, great service. Hadn't been to Cracker Barrel in a while, years actually. Was so happy to rediscover it. Had the best fried chicken of my life and the same family friendly environment I always loved to bring my kids to when we traveled. Loved the memories flooding back in, as well as the speedy and attentive service and the delish food. I will make a point of getting back more frequently. I shouldn't have let this much time pass by as I never had a reason to stop going.

My most recent experience was less than stellar. I did a curbside order and ordered dessert. Normally if I eat inside and order dessert, I get ice cream along with it. Recently the ice cream portion has been getting smaller and smaller, not even a full scoop. With my curbside order, they didn't even put the ice cream in there. I had to go back in twice to get it. There isn't a price difference with or without. Then my coca cola cake was very dry. Even the sweet tea was very weak. I hope the next time it will be better overall.
