My friend had invited me to dinner since I was leaving for Texas this morning. My friend unfortunately got locked out of her apartment and we had to meet up later. However, it was fortunate for me since I got to try the restaurant anyway and had an awesome dinner along with super nice personality of the server Riley who waited on me. This is a wonderful place and I give it a five-star rating for sure. I will certainly want to come again at some point. I can tell you that it does get busy on weekend days and sometimes requires reservations to assure yourself a table. I was very lucky to have a nice time and get a table for me shortly after it opened. Again, I will certainly come back again and everyone even beyond the server was extremely nice and helpful. The food was excellent!
Fun atmosphere! When you first walk in, you can select to eat in the fine dining area or the ‘casual’ (bar) area…. It’s the same menu for each side and we chose to sit at the bar. Lucked out and they had 1/2 off wine and some Mardi Gras specials.Bartender was attentive, food was pretty good but not standard fine dining (in my experience). I would definitely pass on dessert.
This was my first time here with my boyfriend and we will definitely be back! We had Kierstin C as our waitress who went above and beyond. We got the salmon and filet and they were both mouth watering. This place tops every other “high end” restaurant we have been too. All the waitstaff was extremely friendly but we will definitely be requesting Kierstin when we come back!
Wow! Great place for date night! We've lived in BG for 20 years and this was our first visit to 440 Main. My husband and I went to celebrate my birthday & have a night out with no kids!! Nice quiet (until Miki's bar gets going) slow pace dinner with adult atmosphere. Excellent food, excellent service, however, very pricey. Well worth the money but just know you're going to spend a lot. Can't wait to go back for our next special occasion.

Awesome food and service!
We had the best server and the food was absolutely wonderful. Portions were perfect. Dessert was excellent.
love 440...food always good, friendly staff...one of our favorite places.
440 Main is directly in front of Fountain Square Park in old Bowling Green. This upscale place is a bit continental with leanings on southern and New Orleans-style food. Rather than order one of their craft cocktails, I was able to sample my first bourbon flight of four! The hostess and server patiently worked through their large list of bourbons to pick ones a beginner may like. This was one of our best meals during our 2900 mile road trip. On weekends they have live music.
Really enjoy the food, service and atmosphere. Daily specials are always a treat! Have not had a bad meal here yet, and have probably eaten in here a dozen or more times over the last two years.
