There was excess crust on the edges with no sauce, no toppings, just dry, uneventful crust.The piece of cardboard placed in the box to absorb grease or what ever else is just wrong, there should have at least been a piece of wax paper ALSO laying over the top of that cardboard piece.Was not pleased and used to love, love, love the Blackburn avenue Giovannis.
That place was great now giving one star i could not imagine what those workers feel. I walked in and it was probably 90 degrees inside the store. Hardly any air what so ever. How can a owner let his employees work in that condition.
It's nice to find a place with good food and great service. There is a worker there I think her name is Kathy. She always has a smile on your face and makes you feel welcome. Definitely recommend this place.
Great pizza. Very friendly staff. They always make sure order is correct and produced timely.
The calzones taste just like the ones I had in the 90s. Other area stores changed something. They’d come out burnt or very anemic. Every time I open the box from South Ashland Giovanni’s, the calzones are perfect.
Absolutely the best and most unique Giovanni’s around. You can tell everything is made the classic way. No bagged sauce, frozen processed cheese and always super fresh. Never taste cheap or sub par. Reminds me of Giovanni’s from the 80’s. The people that work there are so nice! We love South Ashland Gio’s and it’s now our goto!!
Just waited almost 4 hours on food that never came. Family has the flu and we're trying to stay quarantined so we can't just go out and get it. Called 4 times. Was told twice it was already on its way. Then that they "just found" the order and it would be here in 10 min. Then 30 min later wouldn't answer the phone. Thanks for nothing:)

Everything I call here they do not answer their phones. They also take the phones off the hook so you cannot get through.
I remember the old restaurant sure do miss sitting at that bar and talking to the woman who ran the place. Still the same great food.
