As always, I love this place. I had the country music star omelette with extra hash browns. So good. I asked for no onions, but still got onions. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying.
Good value, great service! I go for free pie slice Wednesdays! I love the way the staff makes a point to remember the older customers names.
I absoloutely love this place, but lately its been going downhill. My dad and I are regulars at least once a week around dinner time. Sometimes we get breakfast and we like to substitute the pancakes/ect. for a salad. Usually isn't a big deal, but lately it sure has been. We were told due to new management we can't do the substitution anymore sadly. Sucks cause we always do it and it's never been a big deal. Service lately also hasn't been great. It seems like this location has tons of people who are training and I've noticed a lack of being checked on. We might have to go to a different location from now on.
Maybe I caught them on a bad night. My waitress had someone shadowing her, which was fine, but neither girl was very friendly. I ordered my drink, she dropped it off and I ordered she didn’t speak at all, walked to the next table to grab her tip money, walked to the back and then came back and asked again what I wanted. Brought out my cheeseburger, say it down and I had to catch her to ask for mayo. She sat it and my check down as she walked back to the kitchen, never asking if I needed anything else. I guess napkins would’ve been too much. My burger was burnt in the outside but overall not bad. She or her shadow never came back by. As I got up the older couple next to me that had just sat down and ordered their drinks said “she doesn’t seem very happy to be here!” and I said neither of them do! The cashier asked how everything was I told him not good. I talked about the servers lack of attention, the burnt burger and the fact that I was charged extra for cheese- when the menu said it came with cheese! He comped my meal but said “due to our quality of meat we have to cook them well done!” Which makes me question the quality of meat they use!!?? Look I’m sure the pancakes and breakfasts are good, but this afternoon’s meal was not pleasant! I was going to order a slice of pie to go but was never given the chance. Once I complained to the cashier he was quick to get me out of there!
Great service the 3 times we went. Huge portions. Great prices. Had to wait but it was a short wait. Good location. Handicap accessible.
My food was cold my sons was ok our server brought our food threw our ticket on table and we never saw her again and no one else stopped to see if we needed anything.we use to go there several times a week but will not be going back.prices are so high I know things are high and they need to raise prices but theirs are ridiculous..a piece of pie is almost 5 dolars. Always enjoyed our visits will miss not going there anymore.
Arrived about an hour before closing and everyone was very polite. The waitress was excellent, timed her checkins very well, and the food was excellent. It has been many years since we have been and we were not disappointed, will be returning.
The Village Inn is good ol' classic food, but you better make room for dessert! The French Silk Pie is our favorite. We were seated at our table right away and the waitress was very happy to get us started with orders. The Chicken Fried Steak is hard to beat compared to anyplace in town; a good thick steak with just the right amount of crunchy breading. It is so tender you can cut it with a fork.
Great food, had the smothered roast beef sandwich, the lemon pie was fantastic too!
Service was slower than usual. I had onion rings that were saturated with oil. The sandwich was good. I had to fix the syrup dispenser to make it work. The bottom of my daughters plate had what looked like chocolate filling on it. Syrup came out with water on top that had to be poured out before you could get to the syrup. Not a very good experience this go around.
