The Monarch looks promising inside and out as a casual city-like modern bar/pub. The bar is well stocked, the décor modern/industrial and the service was amazingly quick. However what arrived was at average. Drinks were not expensive by city standards but on the skimpy side. The Taco salad was good, but could have come from an Applebee's and the sweet potato tots were soggy, the cheese congealed, and the bacon bits far from crispy. Overall the food had a pre-fabricated feel, which is maybe why it came so fast. My server was prompt but indifferent. I like to the idea of The Monarch, but hip does not matter if you don't execute on the details.
we stopped here for a quick lunch after taking our kids to the exploration place. The kids loved it and so did we. The wings were wonderful and so was the sandwiches. If you're in the area the food is excellent. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating on the patio.
The appetizers that we ordered were the Everything cheese ball which came with several different options to eat it with, and the goat cheese peppers. Both were very tasty and great choices for the table. My friend ordered the Delano club and she said it was really good. I ordered the Chicken and pesto Flatbread and it was very bland and if you ask me undercooked. The flavors all blended together and I just didn't enjoy it to where I only had a couple of bites. I would give this resturant another try and order something else on the menu because again the appetizers were good and the atmosphere was really nice. Our service was very fast and the waitress was very friendly as well. They do have outdoor seating which I loved for an evening night out with friends!
I love the sandwiches here. Some far I've had the Reuben, Cuban and Douglas sandwich. All are excellent options. Great location in the Delano district and very close to the WindSurge Stadium.
My daughter and I split the turkey sandwich! Very yummy! Great outdoor option. Service was good and price was reasonable

Great service. Really good food. Wide, affordable bourbon selection. loved the wings---huge wings, so much meat--nice bbq char. Supee casual atmosphere with really nice cocktails.

Not expensive but definitely not even worth the price. had high hopes and hate to write a review like this but as a food lover and someone who also works in the industry it SUCKS to leave the table feeling even worse then when you arrived. Anyone with high praise for this place is obsessed with eating in a cool atmosphere which of course is great and part of the dining experience but for most folks with standardsyour best bet and bang for your buck might be bringing a big mac and eating it on the patio here.All in all a great space juxtaposed with the service and food.
