Solid 7.7/10. Food was fresh, tasty and good. Great coffee. A little longer wait then usual. Biscuits and gravy were immaculate. Had side of French toast for a total of less than 40$ for 2. Very good prices. Parking is a hassle hence the 7.7 other than the garlicy hash browns. Very good breakfast spot will be attending every Sunday. Will recommend
Staff is super friendly and responsive. It's a diner so you know exactly what type of food you're going to get. Not really my thing however I can't penalize a restaurant for not being my thing. My best friend was in town and we squatted for a couple hours. I know that's bad form however we made sure that there were not people waiting, or we would have got up and left.If you want a nice traditional breakfast then this is a nice spot to go. The coffee flowed freely, everybody treat you really well, and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Great morning restaurant reminds one of the film Alice Doesn’t Live Here Any More from the 1970’s. Lighthouse themed. Fresh food local and ugly but delicious cinnamon rolls, have ☝️ one of the friendly waitstaff heat in the salamander the crispy is worth the effort! I get tomatoes ? on side rather than ? potatoes which are cooked well seasoned deliciously and smothered in butter!
The best breakfast I've had in Wichita, hands down. The coffee was fresh and delicious. I got the blueberry waffles and while I usually prefer the blueberries baked into the waffle, the waffle was so divine with a delicate flavor and light crispness to the edges, I didn't mind the blueberries on top. And they were fresh blueberries, not the goopy, syrupy blueberry topping you get at a chain restaurant.My boyfriend got the Western omelette with fried potatoes. I had a taste of both and immediately wanted the steal his dish.Go to the Beacon! You won't regret it!
The Beacon has been a staple restaurant in Wichita for many years. Lighthouse themed. If you like breakfast, this is a great place to go. The food is good, and the waitresses are friendly. If you get Dana and order a Belgian waffle with fruit and whipped cream, she can make you the most perfect waffle you have ever seen in your life!
Tremendous amount of food for the price, and everything tasted great. Super friendly staff and wonderful service. Highly recommend the country fried potatoes!! Will definitely return next time we are in the area!
Not the most upscale place to eat breakfast but it reminds me of small town living where you know all the people and you feel a more personal connection. The food was yummy and I had the most perfect over-medium eggs! This is their Apple walnut French toast with added blueberries and it was HUGE for a great price! It’s also not the most clean place as in it could probably use a good deep clean but other than that it was very nostalgic and cozy.
Really good breakfast food in a place that looks like it should make good breakfast. Staff was very nice and attentive. Only issue I had was my hashbrowns came out a little mushy, but everything else was great.
Omg the best food I've tasted! My husband ordered the shoe 10/10!! The pancakes are to die for! I recommend buying 1 pancake if you're ordering extra food
More informative lighthouse facts than you would ever expect to see hundreds of miles inland or from a breakfast place. The food and service were also very, very good.
