We have a very large group, this time there were 17 of us, we went to the Angry Elephant July 9, on a Saturday.. excellent food, excellent service everything was perfect. Our group said 10/10. It's a must try. Can't wait until 47th street opens, we most live nearer to it
Amazing food! Really good BBQ, but I like the non-traditional approach. It's a nice change of pace from all the other BBQ restaurants in town. It's also important to note that their sweet tea game is spot on. Service was a little slow, but very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!
Good location, parking was easy, service was good although the food took a bit longer than some, but exceptionally tasty. Few suggestions for a BBQ joint.... plates. The rectangle platters might look good but not very functional as intended. Plates should catch the drippings of those juicy burgers not my shirt. I looked like a 3 year old with burger dribbles all over my shirt. Ok okay laugh, my gal thought it was funny too. Also place paper napkins on the table. Fabric napkins is a nice step up but not when you serve burgers that barely fit in man paws. They are not enough for those over the top menu items. Exhibit A - The Angry Angus burger with okra. Too juicy for the rectangle plate. Love you guys I'll be back!
We decided to start "DINING BY THE ALPHABET"Wichita, KsLetter A- THE ANGRY ELEPHANTScore 5/5It would take an elephant to eat all of this food. The portion sizes were crazy! Easily 2 meals for us. The BBQ waffle was a new item that the waitress didn't even know about. Turns out the owners changed the menus and didn't tell the waitstaff. ? It was a winner. The waffle was very savory and reminded me of a corn fritter. It was piled high with multiple kinds of meat and creama sauce. Glad they added it to the menu.The BBQ Mac was awesome. The Mac was so creamy and not dried out like some Mac can be. Loaded up with 3 different meats and creama sauce. I personally didn't care for the hot links just because they were too sweet for me. The spice level was perfect but I'm just not a fan of sweet links.The staff was awesome and very friendly. The art on the walls was done by a local artist. We will definitely be back because there were too many things on the menu that we still want try! Gotta get through the rest of the alphabet first!
My Wife & I ordered the half Rib dinner. The Beans side dish was pretty good. BUT, the Ribs had to be at least two day old if not longer and the worse I've ever had in my 74 years. They were extremely over charred with nearly no moisture left in the meat. They showed very bad judgement by serving them to customers. The last insult....they offered 10% off on two dinners which was less than $5
Delicious and unique touches to make their BBQ top notch! The pork literally melted in our mouths, the Carolina sauce is a rare find in the Midwest and hit the spot, and they have a great variety of local craft beers on draft! Highly suggest!(My husband had the 3 meat plate and suggests the ribs and I had the Carolina tacos!)
So happy they opened a new location closer to us! So...my 6 yr old daughter is very picky when it comes to food. She almost always tells us to go to Jose Peppers cause she loves their Mac. Last week she told us to go to Angry Elephant! She is in love with their Ultimate Shake. We actually order it for dessert and we all eat on it. I have had their brisket tacos and pork burrito and If you like that smoked barbecue flavor you need to try these. Also both come with a Pico that has cucumbers in them. It is such a refreshing Pico! Fair warning...if your Kid does not like spicy stuff don't have them get the kids mac. I love the stuff and have been more then willing to eat it when my girls don't.
Loved the Food and the presentation was awesome. Will definitely eat here again. can't wait for the 2nd location to open as it will be right down the street.
You better brace yourself for how awesome this place is. Between the 3 of us I got sample alot of different things and every single thing I had was better than I had anywhere else. Also our server Morgan was very fast, professional and made the perfect menu recommendations. New favorite bbq hands down
Great ambiance. Even better food and wait staff! Kitchen was hopping so took a little bit for food to come out, but when it did, it was certainly worth the wait! Make sure to ask to have Morgan as your server! She’s amazing!
