This is sadly not the restaurant it used to be.Time for a Robert Irvine intervention. The floors are dirty, there was a distinct bad smell in the place. The air conditioner was struggling so it was very stuffy & uncomfortable with a fly or 2 by our table. When we first walked in we gave our name to a server and then she walked away. Another server came and saw the guy standing there who had not given his name yet & and seated him & his wife before us & didn’t even look at the book to see our name.So we said no big deal then we waited about 5-10 minutes before we got seated and it was another 55 minutes before we got our food and the chicken was overcooked & dry.the salads...prepackaged and limp and soggy very pale green salad.they did not have the sweet tea, so they brought us regular tea that tasted like well not tea! $2.99 for it. Unbelievable. My wife opted for water at that point so no charge for hers.We asked for boxes as soon as we were served becuz the air was stinky & warm & we had been there over an hour.We tipped our server well because you could tell he knew it was not quality food or atmosphere and kept trying. Not his fault. We feel badly for restaurants that are struggling understaffed fighting to keep going but please make some changes. This is not working for anyone.

The food here is real and made from scratch. Had the chicken fried steak and it was tasty and the sides where good as well. The service was.... well not so great, I rated 4 stars for the food alone. The hostess was arguing with another customer and was rude off and on saying things a customer shouldn't hear. Our server was just absent. One of the buss staff got our refills. Would have rated 5 stars if the staff could have been attentive and not arguing.

Classic fried chicken, it was amazing. They are short staffed, expect a wait even during off hours. They didn't have dinner rolls. The gravy was super peppered, we left it there. But, they are trying hard and our food was great minus the gravy.

We made a reservation because we know they get busy during the weekends however we showed up and were told it would be 10 to 15 minutes and at 30 minutes I went to check on the hold up and they said it could be another 10 minutes before we got seated and the hostess said she would have to see if a waitress could have us in her section or not. Once seated the food came out fast and wasn’t bad.

By far the worst experience we’ve ever had dining out. Not sure what was worse.. the staff, the food or the atmosphere.. I don’t even know where to begin. This place has changed tremendously over the last few years & definitely not for the better. Food wasn’t even that good & was way overpriced for what you get. I don’t normally write reviews because I try & give everyone a chance or the benefit of the doubt, but this place definitely needed to be addressed. Based off the reviews, we were really looking forward to trying it. After the experience we had, we will never be back. After talking with some other customers, they felt the same way we did. Glad we weren’t the only ones & I’m sure we won’t be the last. It’s sad to see a business that used to be so good, go down hill so drastically over the years.

SLOW SERVICE ?. 5 people standing behind the bar with 1 customer at the bar. Flavor of food is worth the wait. 100 dollars. For four people a bit high considering chicken is cheap. Will go again just not anytime soon.

Our experience overall was terrible. I hadn't been to this place in years and thought it would be a nice birthday dinner for my son. We had the worst waitress. She didn't care about us until it was time to sign our ticket. She even forgot our forks and seemed very rude. The place was very cold and very uncomfortable. My kids both had beef meals and now, 1 day later, they are throwing up with diarrhea. The carpet was filthy and caked in mud. It was expensive and such a huge disappointment. I promised my son a "do-over" birthday dinner somewhere else when he recovers.

I thought it was over priced for what you get personally. The cinnamon roll that comes with the hamburger is not what I consider a cinnamon roll, it's a bisquit style with cinnamon and no icing. The menu was kinda confusing and when asking questions about it the reply was "it comes with alot of stuff" . Even when I asked for specific items it confused them and didn't come out as requested. I read the reviews and was passing thur is why I went there, the place is nice to look at but I personally wasn't amused by the food or menu....

Had a really poor expierence. Been going there for years and loved it but nothing was right. We tried to call ahead to give a heads up as we were a party of 7. No one answered the phone and it said to leave a message so my husband did. When we arrived 15 minutes later and we said we called ahead the hostess said she did have us. That was no big deal because they had open tables. The hostess took us to a table that seated 6 but said she'd put a chair at the end of the table which would have been fine as there was plenty of clearance at both ends of that table but then she changed her mind and put us at a table for 6 in the corner. One end of the table was against the wall and the other end was right against a table for 4 with a family seated there and no room for an extra chair. My husband asked if we could be seated at the original table and she said no she needed to keep it for a larger party coming in. We had to put a child at the end of the table as we could push it in more with a child and the chairs were literally back to back. My husband said to the hostess very softly so the table of 4 couldn't hear, "I really don't appreciate not being able to sit where we will have enough room." The hostess said very loudly, "You don't have to be rude!" Now the whole restaurant was looking at us and my adult daughter said " Maybe you don't have to be rude." The hostess responded that she wasn't the one being rude and walked off. We debated if we should just leave but decided to stay. We shouldn't have. The waitress came and got our order and she was very nice but she was a bit overwhelmed and everything took a long time. When the food came out was not good. My son-in-law and I ordered 1/2 order of chicken livers each because, in the past, even the 1/2 order is a giant plate of livers. What we got was liver pieces way over cooked with a bunch of overcooked crumbles. The attached picture was the leftovers I brought home because I only ate 2 or 3 little pieces. Probably won't eat this leftover as it's just not good. My husband ordered chicken fried steak, always his go to. Would be as big as the plate in past. He got a little piece of meat probably 3 or 4 ounces also way overcooked and tough. The waitress had to have us pass our meals down and across as she only had access to one corner of the table. For 5 adult meals and 2 kids meals it cost $140 (without tip and we gave 20% tip as it wasn't the wairess' fault). It took us about an hour and a half to get in and out of there and the whole time we were there the hostess never seated anyone at the other table for 6 she started to put us at and refused to let us sit at. I'm really, really disappointed. Don't know if we will ever go back.

Ordered take out and thankfully we checked the bag before leaving the parking lot because they missed a few items from our order. Staff was very unprofessional arguing with each other in front of customers. For the price we paid I wasn't impressed the chicken fried steak wasn't tender at all I've had better and at a better price. Everything else was ok. Place used to be really good back in the day.
