Went here for dinner this evening. It wasn’t too busy. We didn’t have very good service. After nearly 20 minutes of sitting, our waitress came to us and told us there was a mix up with our food and asked us what we ordered. She didn’t really apologize after the excuse which would have improved this rating. When we finally did get our food, it was great. The food was flavorful and had great portions. I was really looking forward to eating here due to the reviews but left slightly disappointed. Also, the prices on the menu aren’t the actual prices. We didn’t notice the sign until after we ordered. The chips were overdone which was explained to us that chips get stale when the humidity is high and they have to recook them to get rid of the stale taste. The salsa was good which made the chips a non-issue.
We are in town for a few days and decided to try a different place out today for Cinco De Mayo. We ordered the burrito panco villa, along with a taco dinner. The burrito was a huge burrito filled with pork, beef and cheese. I have to say it was pretty good. The tacos were served on a flour shell and were very crispy a also good. The guacamole was very fresh. Our waitress was very professional the owner even stopped by and checked on us!
This place has been here for a long time. The food is good and it's a very popular place so they are usually busy and it's kinda small. If you go to here in the weekend you can expect a wait.
Holy batman. Amazing Mexican food in Whitcha .. we slammed this place with a party of 20. They handled it like nothing, smiling, and providing excellent service! Best ground beef I've ever had. Ruben was walking around smiling and talking to us too.
This restaurant is so clean... The salsa, especially the hot salsa was very good and the fajitas were awesome! The steak and chicken was very good and the shrimp was cooked perfectly, and all covered in queso! I don't live in Wichita, but the next time I'm here, I will be eating at Ruben's!
Food was pretty good. Had a fried beef taco and the Burrito California. The burrito had fajita steak and chicken and cheese inside and was smothered with queso. I added the red sauce. It came with a side of rice with shrimp on top. It was delicious. The salsa left something to be desired it had no flavor so I asked if they had a spicy salsa. They did and it was HOT , but just that it was hot, no flavor. None the less will return and try it again. Good service
We called 30 minutes ahead for a reservation, and got seated right away when we arrived. Staff were warm and friendly, and did a great job with the small amount of help serving tables. The food was very good and we ended up splitting a dessert with the kids, which was fantastic! We'll definitely be back again.
Excellent place for some great mexican food. Had the burrito California, it was amazing. The food was hot and fresh. The chips and salsa was also very good. The server was on the phone the whole time, but she was still very nice. It wasn't busy so I'll give her that. I will definitely go back for that burrito.
So amazing. Love the fried tacos and margaritas. The service was great, very clean place, and authentic. Coming from a Texas gal, it’s very impressive. Meals are average price for good food in the area.
Very friendly staff and great food. The portions of rice and beans could have been more but other than that top notch
