The pulled pork was delicious, the ribs were good, the brisket and the chicken were dry. I don't know if I'd eaten in if they would have had some kind of sauce, but I was traveling and didn't have any which made for some dry meat. The Mac and cheese were good, the fried okra was ok.
I was surprised to find sliced brisket that good outside of Texas.
I never leave reviews, but it was a complete waste of money and our time. Do not waste your money and time eating here! My husband and I had been wanting to try Rub Crib for awhile. With so many restaurant options, we always forgot about it. I should have read the other reviews first- as my initial thought was that the restaurant was not crowed for a Friday evening. Now I know why! The food is HORRIBLE and the staff are unprofessional. We have gotten better food and service at a fast food joint! My brisket was ALL FAT, my husband's mashed potatoes were cold, and just leave the dry little slice of bread off the plate. Our server never checked on us one time to ask how our food was. There is no way that the cook and server both missed the pile of fat on a customer's plate before serving. They are either use to cooking/serving disgusting food, or they do not care. With all the other resaturant competion- especially all the other excellent BBQ is Wichita, I do not understand how they stay in business.
I knew the rule. If the parking lot is empty while all the other resteraunts are packed and have wait lines there's something bad about the place and it's the food. I knew it but I talked myself into it because i was wanting BBQ. What the heck was I thinking, what the heck. I mean for real how do they stay open. ?None at our table ate our food.The food is frozen. Cooked frozen (burgers) or reheated BBQ. They need to change their name to Nas T.The Burger with brisket was burnt harder than a frisby.. I mean if I had went to the lake and dropped a burger in a charcoal grill out at the lake and then the next day picked it out of the charcaol it would have been better than what I got. ?. I smeared off the BBQ just so I'd try and have something to eat.
The aroma which greeted my friends and I when we entered the restaurant for lunch this afternoon was simply an appetizer for what was to come. We were evenly split with being our first experience at RibCrib and being pleasantly surprised with our meals. I selected the BBQ sandwich with shredded brisket. The meat was lean and tender with a pleasant, smoky flavor. The meat was without sauce which allowed each of us to add to our own taste. I happy with my choice of baked beans for my side. The flavor was very good.
The FOOD is awesome. The PRICE for what you GET is horrible. You get MORE for less at Panera and other restaurants. This plus the chips/dip and a tea was over $30!! Ridiculous
Really wanted to like this place...... Wait staff was friendly and prompt and establishment was clean..... That's where the good ended. I hope it was because they were short staffed but who am I to say they were utilizing about half of their seating and it took forever to get our meal. When we did get it, it was mediocre at best I'll look elsewhere next trip to the city!
The ribs were AMAZING, my baked potato was cold. My husband ordered corn on the cob and was brought okra instead. My baked potatoes did not have the pulled pork on it that was supposed to be. Waitress quickly fixed the food missing, but rarely came back to check on us. Not enough napkins were brought, a must when eating ribs. Never saw a manager walking around. Place was clean.
Great food! BUT warning. If you order online and then you drive up to their curbside pickup signs. And you text the number that's on the sign. They don't get the text. And you'll sit there for 20 minutes outside waiting for someone to respond. They need to change their sign to say either call this number or set up their number so they can receive a text. As a result our food was cold
The staff were all really great and attentive. Our server got caught up in other tables and another server (I think) came to get out order and covered us until our original server could get back with us. This was well before we even noticed. In addition, both of my teens made changes to their meals after they arrived and those requests were completed so quickly! Such a wonderful first impression! Not to mention the chicken tenders meal could've fed 2 of us?I wish I had gotten names but it was two dudes on new years eve about 730-8
