$36 for 2 large pepperoni pizzas (takeout). The crust smelled/tasted a bit doughy, seeming undercooked. The pizzas were presented to us in generic white boxes that were oversized for the pizzas we received. The workers were a bit disengaged and seemed like they weren't paying a lot of attention. The pizza slices were not properly cut all the way through. It tasted fine, but it didn't taste like $36.
The food is great as always. Customer service must of been halted when they stopped dine-in service. The ladies in the front never acknowledge you and tell you to wait in an annoyed tone when you approach the counter. How are supposed to know if you're not greeted when you come in? These same ladies are pulling the food off the roller oven, then proceeding to package the food for takeout or delivery AND handling customer payments. Without gloves... It seems they haven't adopted a streamline process to make it more organized and sanitary. When everyone is getting in everyone else's way, it just causes more stress.
Great place to grab lunch and take it back to the office. Everything we had was delicious!! They are short staffed like everywhere else these days. So be kind to those who show up and work there tails off to service you!
They were not good with handling customers on the call ahead phone order I wanted to make. The first time they answered normally but immediately put me on hold for a long time. I hung up and called back where I was greeted with please hold when they answered. So I went there to place my order. Took a while which I understand. The owner seems very efficient and great but his employees need a little more tact even when its within 45 minutes of closing time.
We ate at Marchello's last week. We didn't know that they are only doing carry out and delivery due to lack of staff. That situation anywhere is disappointing. Regardless, their food was still just as delicious as I remember it from when I used to work near there. My husband had the Aloha Pizza and I had the Chicken Carbonara. My husband is always skeptical about places he hasn't been too but he really liked it. Still made from scratch. We highly recommend them. We don't live close but it is definitely worth the drive for us!
Best Italian food in Wichita! I got the artichoke dip, baked ziti, kids cheese pizza and dessert cheesecake for only $40. Delicious and affordable! Highly recommended! ?
I've given Marchello's a 5 star before. My last 5 star for them was November 2020. However, this time, I was so upset, the good food didn't taste that great. I placed my order at 6:45 PM on Saturday, 2-5-22. Was told it would be 45 minutes (this is not abnormal when they are busy). I arrived at 7:25 and was told my order was 'still in the kitchen', which I believe that means it wasn't even in the oven yet!!?? I waited another 35 minutes for my order (two pasta items, nothing special) to be ready. One hour and 20 minutes for an order to be completed is ridiculous for ANY take out food service, regardless of the circumstances. I waited until the following day to post this negative review, hoping I would calm down and not be negative. I believe the problem was in the kitchen. The two cooks did not appear to be very efficient in their actions. The three girls dealing with the upset people (like me) were doing all they can. You could feel the tension and plainly see the girls were not happy.
Not Momma's Italian, still very good.Angle hair pasta, perfect, mwah.Linguini, al dente, oh yeah.Personally, I'll ask for a little less salt next time, and there WILL be a next time.TIP THE HELP, they're busting it man.And, call in your order people, don't be the ones looking all "duhhhh" ¿it's good food and your gonna wait in a lobby that's closed, W/O seating, or stay home and nuke something.Ambiance: No dine in! And I thank them for this. Still nice inside, hope to enjoy it one day.Really who wants to have a nice meal surrounded by people in painted on... Are they really pants?, say "gag reflex" OMG you ain't working out.Oh top wearing your jammies out in life, geeze! Have a coffee and get dressed, lazy butts.

Marchello's is good Italian comfort classics with some delicious one-of-a-kind dishes. We love the cherry sauce on the cherry cheesecake; it's the best. The only quibble I have - the inconsistent size of cheesecake slices between visits.They have transitioned to a take-out only model during Covid, so please support one of the few remaining local Italian restaurants.
