Don't be late they close at eight, and I can testify to that! Good food for the price! ??
We stopped as we were passing through town. The smoked turkey was decent, sides were just your run of the mill bbq sides (boxed mac and cheese, well-seasoned green beans). Halfway through the meal we smelled the most horrible smell… realized it was coming from the bathrooms, which smelled like raw sewage every time someone opened the door. You could smell it throughout the dining area and others around us commented on it as well. Ruined our appetite.
First time and will definitely be going back. Great food and service. The smoked chicken was really good.
I went into pick up an order and while waiting, an elderly couple’s number was called. After the second time it was called and they didn’t hear it, I politely let them know that their order was ready. The girl working behind the counter scolded me and said I needed to let her do her job. I told her her rudeness was uncalled for. To which she started loudly talking about me to a co-worker. If you want bbq I suggest you go to a different location.
Meat was good. Sides were just okay. Texas toast was still a little soggy, fries were kinda bland. Mac N cheese above average. Beef Brisket pretty good. Was expecting a little better for a $14 lunch
My wife loves their ribs and I love their pulled pork sandwich. It's just a little bit pricey, but what isn't these days. Don't get the macaroni and cheese.
I eat here every so often and go through the drive thru, but this evening I didn't have the best experience customer service wise...I placed a pickup order through Doordash. I come in, the restaurant isn't very full. The gentleman at the front counter isn't very attentive, but I notice there's a pickup window for Doordash orders, so I head there assuming I was in the incorrect spot. I stand there for I don't know how long, the employees keep looking at me but turning back around. I see a bag with my name on it, pushed outwards so I think customers are able to pickup their own food. When grabbing my order, the woman finally acknowledges me and goes through my bag and states they've had problems with customers getting the incorrect food which is why I "cannot reach back and take stuff..." I remind her I had been standing there for a while but still tell her to have a good night.While exiting, I stop at a table to check my items to ensure accuracy. From the counter, she yells at me "YOU CANNOT GO THROUGH CUSTOMER'S FOOD AND WE STILL HAVE ONE MORE ITEM FROM YOUR ORDER." At that point, I also became irritated and repeated the energy when telling her again, this is MY order and I'm not a DoorDash driver which is what I said in the first place. They just leave my final item on the counter so I come back to get it and finally exit...Maybe this was a bad night, but I'm not impressed with the customer service skills of the lobby employees and their lack of communication they have regarding guests picking up their meals... Especially for this being my first pickup order from them. If grabbing orders is not allowed, they should've acknowledged me within the first couple of minutes of standing at the pickup window and just said that.
Recommend ordering before you go. Saves so much time at both the drive-in and at walk-in / take out. Food was great like usual....
I've went to the HW on S Rock for over 10 years. For the most part, the food is good-but not always. Often it depends on the time of day. Sometimes the ribs are perfect, and a few times, they have been way over cooked and dry-almost to the point of throwing them away.Recently I switched to the loaded taters. Same thing-sometimes they are perfect,but other times, the LT is hard and stale tasting.More irritating: they've got the order wrong probably 1/4 of the time, like tonight.I will continue to go there-unless they continue to mess up my order.
Haven’t had hog wild in many many years, so glad to be back and enjoy the amazing barbq! Definitely will be back!
