The food was good and the staff was nice but I'm giving it 2 stars because they food was made incorrectly.I requested when I ordered NO MUSHROOMS. I wasn't sure she heard me so I double checked that she put no mushrooms and she said she was going to go tell the chefs. Both plates came out covered in mushrooms but I didn't have time to wait for them to remake it.I was very disappointed.
I've always enjoyed the food at Hibachi Boy, but the quality at this location isn't as good as the old east side location that used to be on Greenwich. I'll be visiting the other locations in Wichita to see if the food is better. I hope the drunken noodles won't disappoint me.
The meal was, unfortunately, nothing special. It certainly wasn't bad, and I cleared my plate of Chicken with Spicy Basil, but my brother let me try the Orange Chicken he got and it was very dry and overly salty. I believe the restaurant was understaffed as, even with a small amount of patrons, our food took a long while to arrive. When it did, it was quite cool, which didn't help anything. I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
I ordered two meals and an order of spring rolls through GrubHub. The delivery driver asked if there was more to the order and he was told it was complete, even though one meal was missing. So then myself and my husband only got one meal to split between the two of us, and honestly after sharing that meal I am not all that upset that the other meal was missing because it was so bad that we'd probably be going out to get something else instead anyway.I have had better Asian meals from the freezer section at the grocery store.I'm new to the area and I eat out a lot, but I will not be returning to get food from Hibachi Boy again.
Was a fan, but today that changed. Won't be back. We were the only ones in there around 3pm. I ordered hibachi shrimp. We could hear them cooking back there, but maybe it wasn't our food they were cooking. They brought it out, my shrimp and veggies were cold. Not warm, cold. My husband ordered filet hibachi, his veggies were cold, meat was somewhat warm. It isn't expensive, isn't cheap, but for $47.00, don't think hot food is too much to ask for!!!
I wanted to give this place a try since I wanted to try something new and local. I was very excited , especially for Mother’s Day to have a decent meal. Sushi is my favorite food. And my go to restaurant was closed. For this place to have 4.1 stars. I think it deserves a 1 star. Customer service was wonderful. But the food was horrible. The food was completely bland. No flavor even with the spicy Mayo and siracha on top , the fish flavor over powered everything. The raw fish is not even cold, it was room temperate which makes me very worried. It was completely falling apart so I had to mix it up like fried rice. I added teriyaki sauce at home to give it flavor. But the distinct flavor of the fish was not letting me swallow it. It was awful and the fact that I paid over 70$ that included tip was the most disappointing thing. I don’t normally go out and eat and I wanted this to be a special mean for a special day to celebrate and it just ruined my entire Mother’s Day weekend. I want my money back.
Are here for the first time tonight. When we walked in we were greeted by a very happy and friendly staff member who informed us they just got a big order for sushi so if we order any it may take a while. I told her no problem we are going to order other things and our sushi order can come out whenever it’s ready. After sitting down I could tell the employee making the sushi was visibly frustrated. What appeared to be a manager come from the back and helped out enough to calm down the sushi chef. Was glad to see a manager being a coach and helping and glad to see a frustrated employee being coachable. I completely understand the frustration of feeling overwhelmed. Sushi was amazing and so was our beef teriyaki bowls! Will definitely be back in the future!
Cold food. Came in here to write that our sweet and sour chicken dish was cold and veggies were not even cooked. Before hitting do not recommend, saw a lady posted the same thing 4 days ago. However, this was at their West Wichita location.
Gross! Must be under new management. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken plate. My food was cold, didn’t have the flavor it used to have. The vegetables used to be the best part, but not anymore. The zucchini is cut thin like cucumbers. My daughters steak was ok. My husbands chicken was hot. The rice taste like it came out of a box, and so did the noodles. Not the same as it used to be at all! The sushi was ok, but not like it used to be. This used to be one of our favorites, but we won’t be back!
Hands down THE BEST FRIED RICE IN TOWN. Love the vegetable fried rice it has amazing flavor. Shrimp fried rice is also great but the vegetable is by far my favorite. Decent sushi as well. Fast service.
