I'm from out of town and randomly happened upon this place. Shredded beef, carnitas, and very fresh tortillas made for a delicious meal! Wish I had one of these back home!
I should have left when I was ordering because the lady in drive thru had a bad attitude. I was asking questions or ordering the way I normally order at other places, and she was short with me..and rude…main questions I asked, can I get cheese on tacos…she said our tacos come with cheese and lettuce…can I get flour..all of our tacos are corn…can I get grilled onions…we do not serve those…well ok that’s fine…i get to my room (I’m from Texas), my chicken tacos had no cheese, with I guess was supposed to be pico..,my thing is…why not tell me it’s pico…and yeah where my cheese…my daughter had beef tacos…which it was described as shredded beef with cheese and lettuce on corn…her tacos came that way but it was a crunchy shell…oh I almost forgot the queso and cheese…chips were burnt and the cheese was as thin as water…lol I’m highly disappointed…bad thing is…before we left my daughter asked should we check the food…and I said no we are good…it’s not too much they can do wrong…I WISH I DID!!! I would have saved $26.50. ?Food wasn’t even worth using TJ’s storage in my phone.0 stars…I do not recommend…food and customer service was VERY GHETTO!
It was tasty, and was a huge burrito. I'll come back.
I ordered a barbacoa burrito and they gave me beans and barely any barbacoa so I ordered two barbacoa tacos and they put more onion and cilantro then meat still . Que no mamen los weyes
Wow! If you haven't been here, you need to try it. Service was fast and friendly. Food was amazing and cheap. I had the burrito combo for lunch and it was very generous portions. The taco shell was crisp and all was so tasty. Look forward to returning soon.
I didn’t want o have to give this a bad review. Wichita needs every restaurant they can get. But this has been a horrible experience 3 times in a row. Just don’t get it. Their taquitos are comedy. Microwave frozen taquitos with refrigerated shredded cheese. I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes when I got them
I just went there looking for something quick to eat through the drive-thru. I sat there for 4 minutes without being greeted, finally spoke up and said, "Hello, are you open?" Somebody said "Yes, just a moment", then I waited another 3 minutes before deciding to drive off. I've heard good things about the food here and I really wanted to give it a try, but if you're not going to greet people and at least let them know that it could be a wait because you're behind or busy, then it's not worth my time or my money. I don't have a problem with waiting. I have a problem with not being told up front that there could be a wait. I was the only person in the drive so to sit there for 7 minutes without any decent communication was pretty ridiculous.
Lacking in customer service instead of delivering order to table made a disable person get back up to get it. No one else in store. Good was delicious though. I got spicy chicken burrito with beans and rice. Didn't realize it was all in the burrito but it turned out good
First time to check out El Gordo! I have to say I was very impressed with their food and service even though I was in the drive thru. The employee that took our order was very friendly and courteous! She did a great job taking care of our order! Our order was amazing and delish! Oh my goodness! You definitely get a great portion for what you pay! El Gordo staff you are marked as a fav on my Google maps!! Thank you very much!!
When ever we are in Wichita we always stop at El Gordo because they have the closest taste to what we are used to back in Colorado. The salsa is spicy but not overpowering your mouth spicy so it always hits the tastes buds just right. Our burritos were very filling and delicious. The reasons I am giving them a 3 is because we waited almost 30 minutes to receive our food and there was only 1 car ahead of us. The customer service wasn't bad, but they weren't the friendliest cashier's either especially since we didn't receive a thank you. As a manager of a food establishment the one thing cashier's should always remember to say is thank u no matter how the customer is acting (btw we weren't rude or disrespectful in any way to begin with).
